A Bar Song has been #1 for weeks now, she jumped on Savage and Perfect when they were both surging, but still not on top of the charts, so I think we can rule out a Remix. A Levii's Jeans single push for the fall would be a gag ngl

I haven't played TEXAS HOLD 'EM for a while. It was just overplayed and annoying. Now it came on the playlist and I actually liked it again. Sounds kinda fresh

the only people who would drag Bey for hopping on a remix to get an easy #1 are mouth-breathing ATRLers (who don't even have a leg to stand on considering she's has 2 multi-genre #1s and moderate hits since Savage Remix). No one in the real world cares

it's not a music video tho, it's a commercial as per the people who where near the set, not much to get excited about

I wasnt tagged but wanna circle back and say that, even though it's a bop, Summer Renaissance is the weakest song on Rennie. Only because it never grew out of the shadow of its sample. All the other samples in the album serve the wider Renaissance project, but Summer Renaissance as a song unfortunately just cant compete with I Feel Love, and ultimately feels a bit weaker because of it.

 

I'd argue it's of those songs that exists solely as a vehicle for the sample, a la Super Freaky Girl, rather than as a song which samples something and completely re-imagines it into a song that stands on its own two feet alongside it.

Except this time she's proven she currently still has the power to launch and sustain top 10 / number 1 hits. BMS, TXHM, CUFF IT, Jolene and II Most Wanted are all top 10s. This was only ever a drag because she hadn't had a solo one in a hot minute.

The fact she still used the Kelis sample in the live performance says to me she won't release the audio as a live album. I hope I'm wrong though.

It's a fantastic song and the instrumental is phenomenal. I think it just got overplayed but TXHM and BMS are both bangers. Hive just wanna act cool.

A remix for A Bar Song doesn't make sense. It is a current 3 week and seemingly +5 week #1 song with no signs of slowing down nor need to get bigger  If she were to do it the "drags" of jumping on a hit song would actually be valid unlike for Savage.

 

This is def giving Levi's commercial, we all know she only does stuff she gets paid for now...

Anyway sorry for spamming the Base but Beylegion sharing that behind the scenes video of Bey's shoot feels suss. Especially when the security around that set was so high (with the 10foot blackout boundary curtains and everything. 

 

Is there a history of Beylegion reposting any leaked shoot videos in this way? I can't figure out if them reposting makes this more or less likely to be music video related?

it isn't music video related, you can see her stunt double wear levi's, there's a guitar with a levi's jeans sticker on it and parkwood isn't producing, prettybird productions is and they made a levi's commercial not long ago with melina

here's the real tea: if she jumped on a Tipsy (A Bar Song) remix, there's no guarantee that she'd be credited on the charts. that song already has so much momentum and chart traction for the solo version. a BeyMix would possibly help it stay at #1 but it might not be able to bring in the majority of the song's weekly chart activity.

 

so, it's for sure not worth it imo. the other songs she jumped on, she jumped on at the right time to catapult them on to new heights. this one is already up there -- if she had done a remix for it the in the week after it came out, however...

as long as Postage Stamp Malone is not part of it
