the singles carry DIL more than IASF for me. plus, I'll take Be With You and The Closer I Get To You over Ave Maria and Video Phone any day.

I get why people think it's boring, but, it's literally a cinematic masterpiece of an album.

IASF was a necessary album, but it's her most bland, faceless one that doesn't even feel like Beyoncé and could've been recorded by anyone. And Bey agrees since she barely perfroms it these days sans Diva.

 

Daddy isn't a bad song and is overhated.

Just realised the parallels between IASF and Music Box. Both are hers and Mariah's most commercially successful albums. Both their most 'bland' and 'made for GP' music. 3rd studio album for both. Halo / Hero. Black&white album covers. IASF direction driven by Mathew and Music Box by Tommy Mottola. Both are the most hated albums by fanbases

How can Music Box be her worst with those VOCALS???? Do Lambs honestly think that her stuff after the 2010s is better?

Vocally everything from her debut to Music Box/Merry Christmas is definitely her best but I think because she really stepped up her artistry with Daydream and (in particular) Butterfly fans appreciate those albums more. Plus MB is more like a bunch of songs thrown together to make an album (a Whitney tea) but from Daydream she really started making ALBUMS (like Bey did with 4).

This might be generic but I'd go with DIL.

 

Yes, I know people expect I Am... Sasha Fierce but I only listen to the singles and a few songs from DIL(F).
