Deja Vu is an amazing song, is very catchy and has a normal song structure and format. AMERICAN REQUIEM is a bold, sprawling and theatrical art piece encapsulated into sound. They are not the same. And I LOVE Deja Vu but COWBOY CARTER is no longer in the normal everyday music category.

There isn't a lot of country on the album tbh. It's VERY rooted in Americana, southern rock, blues rock - which makes sense since she's taking country back to its roots.

I could never choose between Renaissance and Lemonade  bc they are so different. Now that CC exists the comparisons are clearer. Renaissance should be compared to Beyonce and it does clear that.

I will be bold enough to say I love it, think its a comical and very interesting listen but for now its a skip simply because it can get annoying real fast, love the end though....

Cc doesn't have skips honestly. It's just what song are you wanting to hear more in the moment. But the whole album can be played no problem. 

So what I'm hearing is CC is comparable to Lemonade and Renaissance is comparable to ST, so that means act iii will be comparable to 4.

 

I'm here for it. Give me more Countdowns and Start Overs.

what that CMAs woman really wanted to say was "get that black ***** off the stage and into a studio so she can record a full country album.” but she got interrupted

CC shits on Lemonade in my opinion.

i might be a lil tipsy bit comparing lemonade vs cc and st vs renaissance is wild.

Idk if CC has skips yet, but they have songs i wouldn't mind if someone else skipped.
