I would kill to have Beyonce perform ‘Disappear’ one time. I find it extremely odd that it’s one song she has never performed to my knowledge. I used to think it was because the song was too low but now I just think she doesn’t like the song.

as much as i drag the album overall, it’s not a bad song!

 

its just kind of… a nothingburger? even the “climax” is just very whatever, and the core of it doesn’t really inspire any kind of feeling so idk it might just not be fun to sing the way her other ballads are

actually now that I think about it, the only songs that I think are straight up BAD on I Am… Miss Lastrassi are some of the uptempos. some of the ballads are bland and boring, but that’s its own curse because at least the **** songs are memorable for that reason

Also B’s version was just performed as the first song on the second biggest grossing female tour of all time so in 2023 GP dont even know the DC version

it's boring I fear (and she has much better slow songs to choose from)

 

to be fair, she has other songs she's never performed.

Todays the last day the film is showing in theaters, hopefully we get word on a streaming release in the coming weeks. 

 

Also January is when the supposed new dates are announced, according to reliable insider tea....

That isn't necessarily true. My closest AMC has screenings through Tuesday, and there is a different independent, historic theater hosting a screening this coming Saturday.

 

It would have been so smart to drop this on VOD or streaming today. It would have been great NYE entertainment for some.

I could never really tell 'cause my AMC pretty much stopped showing it after week 2  But Yvette and Bey has both posted that the film is showing until the 31st, we all knew it was having a 4 week run anyway. Anything extra is probably for funsies tbh.

This actually relates to a question I wanted to ask. Is there even a difference between the DC and Bey version? Because I swear you can still hear Michelle on Bey’s version. Did Bey even re-record it? 

 

And then I always think about imagine being a Bey stan in 2003 and seeing her name her debut album after an album track on Survivor

Just looked on her film website: Sao Paolo is tomorrow, Chicago, San Fran, Calgary, Atlanta, Miami & NYC (basically most large American and a few Canadian cities) have showings through January 3rd or 4th at participating AMC theaters, London (UK) and Rotterdam (Netherlands) is January 6th, Toronto (Canada) is January 13th, and if I'm remembering correctly, someone on Twitter found a post from an Indian theater chain that the film was potentially coming to India in Jan-Feb 2024. 

I think we'll have to sit tight for another month or two.
