I know this award is a joke but the point is, she has cemented herself in history with the likes of Whitney and Lauryn. And on top of that she won an award for a genre that completely ridiculed and ex

Frankly most of her red carpet looks have been middle of the road. Pretty but nothing special.

However, she absolutely has the best performance and music video looks maybe of all time.

it’s a tie between her and Kylie for me, both very different styles for the most part but so iconic to my gay ass :jonny3:

Soooo with the knee surgery confirmed... do we think this new style of dance-lite is here to stay forever or she was just going easy this tour to give herself time to heal? I don't know anything about knee surgery or injury, but she reinjured herself from a performance 20 years ago. (I also wonder what that performance was)

unpopular opinion i hope its here to stay. shes older now and i admire the maturity and rich vocals over insane dance numbers.

This took awhile but I did the Beyoncé tier maker. I considered album version only (live changes it way too much). I also considered the songs based on the era/where she was at musically. Otherwise IASF would’ve done pretty poorly in comparison to Renaissance. The “Meh” category does contain songs I’ve never heard, but I decided to only put songs I know well that I don’t care for in the “To the Left” section.

Spoiler

Yes I only listened to The Gift once and it bored me

Let me know what y’all think of my taste.

Is it just me, but I really don’t feel like going to see this movie in the theater.

I saw the tour twice. Yes I want to see it, but, ugh I wish it would just go to streaming.

well obviously everyone’s body is different, but I’ve occasionally had recurring issues from a knee injury years ago (did something weird while running, now it occasionally has longish lasting sharp pain under certain conditions)

I’ll have long periods where everything’s fine, but sometimes it’ll get triggered and take forever to feel better or just recur frequently (like it’s been doing all year lmao)

the difference here is that she’s had surgery and I haven’t, so she might be more resilient once she’s healed for  while. tbh we even saw it a bit on the tour - compare her dancing between the first and last shows

so basically I have no idea :chick3:

tbh I wouldn’t mind if she becomes more vocally focused - could also be a great reason to get even more adventurous with staging and production than she already is

It’s here to stay. Why would she push herself when she can still sell out. She is getting older too, body won’t be the same.

The J Lo movie looks good, but I can’t imagine the music will be which is a shame.

She could have cut Partition.

It would have been better if she included it in the POTS section instead.

I’m with you actually. I want to be able to really get into the spectacle of it on a screen/the BTS stuff but people are already rehearsing from what it seems

Imagine trying to get into it and someone goes in front of the stage doing the Cozy breakdown like the Swifties with the hand holding seance

Half and half. I could see her going all out for 5-6 uptempo songs on tour and giving RWT to another batch of songs that she’s tired of doing the choreo for. I’m not sure we’ll ever see another Coachella energy show from her.

Honestly we need the UN to look into how she made Partition into a low point in the show, the song is phenomenal

Partition has never quite translated live. I'm really not even sure what she could do with it.

I really liked the Mrs Carter show version, but I agree. Maybe we need a legendary mix with a more upbeat song... Freakum Dress perhaps.

Idk how it'd work but I'd leave that to the professionals
