Despite streams does anyone else agree that break my soul will stand the test of time over cuff HIT? In videos it seems like the casuals record break my soul part of the concert the most after Energy ofc. The hags especially love it. My sister who’s also a casual sent me a clip from BMS at her show. I mean they love cuff it too but break my soul really feels special to them. Cuff it is Single Ladies but Break My Soul is Halo

You see more videos of Bey during BMS because its literally one of the only times she walks around the stage, thus making it possible to take a pic/video of her instead of the giant screen.

All metrics point towards Cuff It being THE hit of Rennie

Don’t make me bookmark this and respond 2 years from now! I think too many folks are turned off by explicit lyrics. How many explicit songs have had longevity? I feel like Cuff Hit could’ve went #1 if the original chorus was more family friendly. Makes no sense why Lizzo’s song could but cuff it couldn’t. 

Cuff It will stand among the giants of her career when all is said and done. 

 

 

Break My Soul is nice but will not have the resonance to be a classic the way Cuff It does

It's probably because Break My Soul is one of the best moments of the show, whereas Cuff It is one of the most underwhelming. 

plus Cuff Hit was also being played so much on the radio this year. it's even nominated for "Song of the Summer" at the VMAs  people might be a bit tired of it.

 

whereas Break My Hole remains in the past, a nostalgic hit from June 2022. I think people tend to get more excited for those compared to current hits.

Cuff It vs. Break My Soul is simple. 

 

Cuff It is winning currently and in the medium term. However I think Break My Soul will be remembered more in the future(especially if visuals are ever released). Also cuff it could fit on any Beyonce album because of its sound but Bms only works in the context of Renaissance and is thus more reflective of the era. I  could be wrong. Love both songs.

more than expense, I kind of feel it is VERY unlikely for Beyoncé to turn on a screen that she had not accounted for in the setup of the tour... the tour visuals and how they are presenting are so clearly, highly considered, that just projecting the same thing repeated over and over is too much of an after-thought fix for me to believe she'd just power it up for some extra screens.

 

not to mention, I bet it would be pretty distracting...having more people looking up than at the stage.

BMS is definitely a highlight of the show, and I wouldn't cite the staging for it being so (for me, in my case since I was in the VIP and could barely see what was going on at the runway for it)...it just has a much better stadium energy...the song is euphoric, about empowerment. CUFF IT is cute and I agree not very well staged to maximize the affection the GP has for it, but at the same time it's also a GP hit...the most basic song on the album imo, and thus automatically less fun for people who see it that way.
