I still think the disparity between the tour visuals+whats been teased narratively (Sci-fi/aliens etc) and the teaser we received is a huge difference in scope. Post production for a feature film takes around 8-12months, if you have a smaller team and aren't willing to go for big post production houses (i.e an indie/arthouse film) it can take even longer.

BIK was filmed in the second half of 2019, came out July 2020. It should really be stressed that there was never any word about filming on "B7" wrapping up. They could have finished principle photography with Beyonce in September, and then continued filming other content (i.e BIK story is mostly told through other cast/actors) through to December 2022 for all we know. I mean the teaser for Rennie didn't even have her mouthing in-sync, so I don't think post production was far along when released. It was just her way of saying "it exists" 

The announcement that the visuals will come at a later date before any official teaser even arrived was also an indicator that they knew the film was far away.

the thing is, getting yourself worked up about not having visuals is only affecting you... and maybe annoying others who experience the meltdowns but at some point you need to be fine with the uncertainty and just let it happen whenever it happens or else... you want to be 100 still going on about "...but there was a teaser!" ?

She should've delayed the era if it wasnt ready, like what she did with self titled. At this point even if the visuals are next-level, it'll be talked about for a week and everyone moves on. She should've released the videos in batches, that wouldve been iconic. Each section of the album having a mini film, one released before the concert, one she drops mid-tour, and the last at the end.

OTR/OTR 2 had too similar of a setlist looking back (with some formation tour leftovers), I just don't get why he didnt do empire state of mind with her singing

I had fun at both but OTR1 did have a much different vibe and not in a good way. I was in Club Carter OTR2 and I think it was mainly Bey fans so that's probably why.

I duno, I can't see the visuals being talked about more than 1-2 weeks if it had been released at debut. ST and Lemonade had some longevity because they were the either her first visual album, or included personal details that sustained the conversation about it.

At this point there is far more hype, desire for, and people already tuned into the brilliance of RENAISSANCE for people/fans of the album to simply move on in a week. In fact, if we are asking for some sort of longevity, releasing visuals after the album has already achieved a lot of commercial success would seem to create more sustained interest than had it all been released at once. It almost serves as a re-release in that way. Not only that, but there's the chance that people who have not yet listened/engaged with it, but have clearly heard about would watch and fall in love with the album, vs. people who didn't listen and probably wouldn't watch on launch too. Just theories, of course, and your idea of batches would achieve more longevity, for sure.
