Leg 2 of Mrs carter tour was announced 2 days before Self Title dropped & right before the final show of the original tour.

 

5months later, she announced OTR tour with Jay instead of doing second US leg.

 

As always keep expectations low, but also stop trying to align her planning with rigid logic 

 

I have a feeling she’s gonna tour eu oceania and asia next year and maybe with a completely new tour. Imagine she skips the US and just does NYC or something

Worst case scenario is the tour ends with still no visuals, no announcement of act 2, and complete silence once again with the occasional post to promote the perfume and whatever ivy park rags she comes up with.

 

There’s no way that would happen though, right? …right?

Not this era being referred to as an 'abomination' when she released her best album and arguably her best tour.

Album - Amazing

Tour - Great

But the album and the tour are arguably the two largest parts of an era.

I’m glad she told us. She needs to start her tour in Aus next time. It’s ridiculous that since she started stadium tours she hasn’t toured outside the US and Europe.

Personally for me, Rennie era is second only to Self Titled. 

 

The impact of the music & tour has dominated my circle like no other album or tour. And that is definitely worth more than any music videos or televised performances. But fully get that others might not be so lucky to share that experience & there's been a lack of things to look forward to

There are too many things to come: act i visuals, tour film, perfume, whatever she’s doing with hair products, act ii, maybe new dates/new tour, probably some more Ivy Park drops. I don’t know when she plans to do all of this. Visuals should’ve been out by now lol 

 

And there is Dubai show professional footage that should’ve been out at least before the tour for promo lol

The Dubai thing isn’t happening  that was only for the hotel promo

We're 100% getting Act II and III. There's still Act I printed all over the new merch they release.

Film promo >>>> concert for a couple of people. More people would come if they saw the hotel on film 

 

I remember that someone from the hotel said there would be footage and she released that clip of At Last, but who knows 

 

I still hope that if she does a documentary about pre-Renaissance period with injury and everything, she uses Dubai footage and in between songs she does talking like with Homecoming, just more of it since it’s only an hour long show

My favorite era is still Lemonade.

 

The albums themes got explored even futher in the visuals and in the performances. She referenced the biggest black artist ever and the Black Panthers in her Superbowl performance, she appeared next to the most acclaimed black artist of the past decade for the BETs, she referenced police shootings during Pray You Catch Me and then she stood in front of police lights saying "sorry I ain't sorry" for the VMAs, she enlisted a banned openly-democrat country group to the CMAs to make a big FU performance to the contemporary country scene, she sang All Night at her husband's streaming service concert, and showed her idea of sorority with a bunch of women seated at a table for her Grammy performance while being pregnant and right before losing AOTY to yet another white artist. She literally touched on everything: black culture, the black experience in America, her marriage, women's complicity. Nobody is seeing her anytime soon.

i know y’all aren’t saying "thank god at least there’ll be no disappointments anymore" as if the second this tour ends she / her team / random insiders won’t vaguely tease **** again that’s never coming  all it takes to make us spiral again is an unfunny parkwood meme about the visuals or act II…

 

 

and it’s insane how it’s been a year and some months since the announcement and we’re STILL sitting here like a bunch of sad clowns trying to figure out what tf these Acts even are 

I'm really curious to see how the three acts work together visually. One idea I would love is her riding different horses with different outfits referencing different genres and then using something like this as the cover for the compilation of the three:

On the one hand, I get why some are downtrodden about the era but it's so odd to me that there are obituaries being written when we don't know what she has up her sleeve.

 

Bey has been moving odd for about a decade now. I don't endorse all of her shenanigans at all (as sometimes keeping it simple and traditional really can be most effective). But I'm kind of taking an "it's not over til it's over" mentality with this era.

 

I'm also keeping front of mind the fact that she is pretty unpredictable. We could be sitting here expecting multiple legs of this tour, only for her to launch Act 2, drop a joint visual for both albums, and go on the road next year (to international regions) with a whole new show. May sound a little delulu, but it's not totally far-fetched.

 

Fiscally speaking too, I highly doubt Bey would shoot and scrap a presumably multi-million dollar visual...just because. I like to be evidence-led and that kind of messy irresponsibility is just not baked into everything we've seen of how she conducts business. Beyond even just the cost of visuals and the sheer number of directors, cast, and extras, there are sure to be lots of contractual brand placements (I imagine the likes of Tiffany especially) that would make scrapping not even an option. 

 

I moreso can see the visuals being delayed, reworked, and reshot in places (all of which we essentially know to be the case) than I could ever see them being scrapped. 

 

I'm seeing a lot of emotion being attached to the topic, but there are much more logical/business-based evidence that makes the idea of the visuals being scrapped not feasible IMO. 

Brazil is NOT taking it well.
