That can’t be easy to deal with on the road.  And these are all her icons who helped inform her artistry. It must sit heavy with her through the end of each tour.

Awww! I forgot about this and ironically I was just watching her Grammy performance with Tina. The little behind the scenes during rehearsal was so cute. The way she dropped her purse and started running and giggling towards her. 
 

Ugh, she just lost her icon. I’m sure she’s heartbroken. But thank goodness Tina’s legacy will live through Beyoncé.

It's depressing, I can't say there will be many legends left after Beyoncé... barely any I can think of that embodies cultural significance to the heights of Tina, Whitney, Prince, MJ, even Bey.

 

The future of the music industry is bleak and it'll only be more of a shitshow with AI inauthenticity and capitalism. You don't get that old school "superstar" feeling from anyone anymore, not with their quick little TikTok hits.

As an artist it must make you think of your own legacy and how quickly everything goes. All of her primary influences are gone now.

It certainly takes a heavy toll on her having to see so many of inspirations passing away. I think she has done a wonderful job at preserving their legacy and carved a path of her own using the foundations they have laid down.

 

I think she knows that she is one of the last few “pop divas” who bother to make effort into the craft they do, and while her shenanigans can be seen as irritating as far as how she handles her career, she has always delivered quality in her music, visuals, and performances. She is an artist through and through and thanks to the likes of Tina and MJ she has achieved this level of standard of quality that very few manage to achieve or maintain.

 

May Tina rest in peace, truly a pioneer and may her legacy continue to live on forever.

This was beautiful to listen to and watch I love this. I feel like you don’t see the legends embracing the young ones so much anymore. Maybe a mention here and there but to see them together on stage or just in a casual setting but man, Tina really put her arms around Beyoncé.

Yes. And she genuinely love MJ as well. She also paid tribute to Janet multiple times but the other just paid her dust.

Most of the legends love B. MJ/ Prince/Mariah/Madonna/Barbra. 

 

Madonna & Mariah literally always came for the younger ones but not Bey. 

ALOT of the legends have passed on. We still have Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Diana Ross, Gladys Knight, Patti Labelle etc.

 

It's strange knowing that in the next 20 years most if not all will be gone.

I know the original is golden but I always thought Beyonce playing Tina Turner in a Broadway musical or movie would be killer. I love that Beyonce has become such a huge touring act in Europe as an “R&B girl”. Tina really did lay the blueprint and Beyonce took the baton and went even higher 

I’m still shook Tina is gone. It hit me just like when we lossed MJ and Prince. 
 

I’m even more sad bc the reality of our Black legends and trailblazers who paved the way for many of these new girls (and men) chapter is closing.
