I know this award is a joke but the point is, she has cemented herself in history with the likes of Whitney and Lauryn. And on top of that she won an award for a genre that completely ridiculed and ex

If shes serious about this haircare line. With the right team of ppl it could be FENTY level successful. Rih gets a lot of acclaim for being one of the few to have makeup that support all Black tones, I think Bey would just as passionate in supporting Black hair bc there’s too many wannabe Black hair line.

The Beyoncé Experience was about as campy and flamboyant as RWT, so she’s only going back to her authentic self, which was never afraid to be awkward or silly to begin with. Renaissance was the first album since 4 where she finally dropped the seriousness that came with marriage, infidelity, being a mother and using her platform to shed light on political injustices. She was focused on solidifying her legendary status in that time frame, forcing people to take her seriously (as a pop star) whether they liked it or not. She always intended to come back joyous and full of life ever since she did that Harpers Bazaar interview when she spoke about a Renaissance emerging out of the dark times (the pandemic). She’s just reflecting the times, as always. It’s her duty as an artist (words by Nina Simone that she lives by)

No, she doesn't care about that goddess stuff. She also always had such moments on tour, there were just few because of the heavy dancing.

The album is also very flamboyant, just like B'Day. And she's acting much like in the B'Day era with less choreography.

If there is something certain, Beyoncé doesn't listen much to fans or online people. See this era and Lift Off in the setlist.

it’s a fun, campy album and her performance is matching that vibe.

exactly. people are so weird with the think pieces about every single thing that she does

Well from her standpoint, it makes sense since she first emerges as the Alien Queen in Im That Girl, then serves Hightech Queen with Cozy, claims to be the Alien Superstar and then enters her spaceship to lift off. Its more a means of storytelling I believe than anything else

Her energy is noticeably different this tour.

Flamboyant chrome is something only she would think of :dies:

Kind of feels like the end of ST/Lemonade era Bey (fierce, darker, angrier) and her emerging on the other side

A deeper analysis is needed.

I always knew a gay man lived inside Beyoncé but she literally has gagged me with this tour. :jonny5:

The way she completely channels mother of the house in the “Pure” performance with the fish eye camera is godly. I have watched that lil bit probably a hundred times. She drips charisma and pure gay energy :gaycat6:

Just saw a rumor on the IG page brbeyonceacces that live nation is gonna announce 15 dates in Brazil alone????? :lakitu:

i’ve thought of it for a while but just like how self titled & lemonade are related in how dark and narrative driven they are, bday and renaissance are especially related cause of how celebratory and happy they are as records

Do you all think Beyoncé took note of the "hater" perception that she's too queen/goddess-like and therefore unrelatable and adjusted it a bit? Or just a coincidence that she's SO abundantly joyful and down to Earth this tour?

Because part of me suspects, the perfectionist that she is, that she's adjusted her image just slightly enough to humour the people who maybe didn't get the goddess image. I don't think she cares per se, but I do think she enjoys proving people wrong. To me it seems like that image served its purpose in the Lemonade and on-wards eras when she was being branded both by her work and her image as a legend. Now that this is pretty undeniable, she can go back to a more humble approach. She doesn't need to be FIERCE-FIERCE-FIERCE, she can also have fun. Her RWT Crazy in Love choreography is just that, her BEAMING instead of projecting the sexy/sultry goddess that we've seen in the Super Bowls, etc.

The fact that she basically walks out on stage by herself without a big and dramatic lead-up like other tours and then does ballads points to this slight change in overall image. imo, the entrance sets the stage (literally) for the rest.

Whatever the reason, Im glad she did it.  I wasnt looking forward to a FWT where there was minimal crowd engagement.  This tour is perfect and doing a lot to show re engagement w the fans since she doesnt do SM.

With the amount of Brazilian flags at every show in Europe so far I could 100% see her being able to sell like a monster there.

She isn’t very forthcoming so people speculate and I’m pretty sure she does leave crumbs for people to figure out

In the UK & Europe she’s missed big city’s like Manchester, Birmingham, Italy, Dublin… Is it the same in the US?

Do you have the previous one?  I think she's sold like 50-70k more tickets since last post.  Lousiville being at 83% sold out when it was in the mid 70s last time is great.

She's be 99-100% sold out by showtime

I think they definitely do, because of this:

Her mentioning that focus group for IASF that said they don't like black-and-white photography is a hint towards such a thing (though a bit different), BUT now that she's in full control with her own production company and after having worked with people on her brand before, I can't imagine they simply don't keep track at all about how the internet talks about her. Whatever conclusion or decision she wants to draw is up to her...like, still using black-and-white photography to prove them wrong, but ya it does seem to me like she's aware and that it's not just a complete coincidence that she's a bit more personable on stage than she has been in the past.

She cares and her team cares, but they aren’t going to act on every single suggestion. Goes back to the idea that this is their actual job and that PR and marketing people aren’t going to eat up every idea from fry cooks, engineers and high school students on the internet.

Having said that - the Cuff It girls from TikTok should be taking Yvette to small claims court :coffee2: because if my two-step revitalized the era, I would want something

beyonce sent them a personalized letter and gave them cuff it merch that she only sent to specific people. the dance is now being used on tour. like what else do they want? seems messy to try to get tickets without reaching out to yvette first, knowing full well they've spoken to her team before (to get the personalized merch)
