I wish Pure were a bit shorter. It's not a bad song per se, but it sort of drags out and Honey is honestly ten times better. 

 

On the other hand, POTS has grown exponentially on me. I'd say that I even prefer it over Virgo's Groove.

Glad POTS grew on some of y’all I was worried.

OMG, I was just about to say. Thique is my only skip tbh... the initial beat drop and first verse is hot, but I just don't care to stick around for another 2mins. I also really dislike the intro, it just feels so meh.

I agree with pretty much everything else as well bar the fact that Energy has grown on me, I never skip but also don't need it. 

I see what AUIYM wanted to do, but it's limp and doesn't have a pay off. I love it for the vocals though

Yeah, Pure is fun but it could've been shorter and Honey could've been longer.

A SB commercial would be really unnecessary and a big waste of money. Those ads are highly expensive and she doesn’t need one to sell out a tour.

 

But more importantly… considering who is performing, the concept of Bey announcing a tour during that same night will be catnip for draggings

Pure/Honey is kinda the absolute standout right now. I almost have to play it a few times a day religiously.

Ugh I was just on Facebook and the way Bey has been receiving so much disrespect for her top 10 position on Rolling Stones 200 greatest singers of all time is frustrating and obviously due to the fact that she lacks hit quality ballads. Like the average person obviously doesn’t check her deep cuts, background harmonies or fan-made live compilations of her star rated vocal techniques. They just think of Halo which is MID at the end of the day. There’s also Listen, Deja Vu and and stuff like that, but they were so long ago. It’s the repetitive and vapid pop songs like Single Ladies, RTW, and BMS that immediately come to mind for most people who think of Beyoncé, which obviously doesnt do her any favors as a singer. Love On Top helps as an uptempo vocal showcase, but not to an extent that really moves people. All that said, I would just LOVE for her to come thru with a quality ballad that smashes for act 2. Just as friendly reminder to the commoners who dont believe she has it in her. It’s also just long overdue and I want to see a better ballad replace Halo lol.

Some just don’t like her. She could release an album full of ballads, it would be the same comments. Wouldn’t take comments on FB seriously. 

Beyoncé is a super successful, beautiful black female self-proclaimed feminist who increasingly boasts about how rich and sexy she is. 

 

She’s always going to ruffle feathers. 
 

At the end of the day, people can say what they want. But their voices will be mute against the evidence of her talent that will live on for centuries. In 100 years when she’s no longer here (at the rate climate change is going, the human race won’t be) videos of her spectacular vocal performances will be spread far and wide. Her Sweet Dreams Medley at Las Vegas, her The Beautiful Ones cover at Glastonbury, her Listen performance on Oprah.

 

She doesn’t need to prove another goddamn thing. History will be the judge and I’m confident that her vocal legacy will only strengthen with time.  
 

I have to say that the radical part of the hive don’t help the situation by shitting on literally every other female vocalist to make their point but that’s a conversation for another day.

I would love a quality ballad smash.

 

TBH I would just love a Spirit live performance.

And by the way, you’re not going to get a power ballad from Bey at this stage in her career. Her voice has changed quite a lot and I don’t think it would be suited to a power ballad at this point (she can do it but it wouldn’t be as good as when she was in her vocal prime), and that’s okay. 
 

The fact her voice is still as good as it is is enough for me.

I mean I got lured in because I’m home sick with nothing better to do, but it just occurred to me that she hasn’t really pushed a full on power ballad when she possesses all the qualities and more to pull off something huge. The ballads she does have arent all that spectacular with the exception of Bigger which is exactly what I want to see more of. I wouldn’t exactly put it past her, but yea, I would just love to see it on one of the upcoming acts.
