when it was actively growing on the charts...no one had debates on whether it was clicking or if "Partition" was a bigger hit.

It's almost like we got to see the song's full run... :deadbanana4:

there's a reason why you keep skipping this part..."It got pulled from radio...tell me how the GP affects that??? How did it go #1 if not for GP support??"

exactly.

BMS leaving chart is what she deserves :clap3: no support, no charting. Hopefully cuff it and the album begin to lose steam as she does nothing for the era or her fans. I will keep steaming but I will not endorse the inaction or horrible rollout.

I also wish failure for her Tiffany campaign and ivy park sales.

Same sis. Same.

The gaslighting of her inactivity is really not giving.

If Barbra Streisand at 60+ years, Aretha Franklin at 70+ years, Cher at 70+ years and others can genuinely promote their new music, there is literally no reason for us to "applaud" Beys inactivity at 41 years old. It gives arrogance.

The fact that we lost our shits earlier in July/August because they pushed BMS on radio in the US and put Renaissance on Spotify/AM right away tells u all there is to it. We are doomed and Bey is highkey not fun to follow any more.

Somebody lied to her several times and told her that she was Beethoven, Chopin, Bach or Mozart, but she's nothing like that, shes nothing of that sort.

Not even mad a this LOL! She makes the era for her rich celeb fans but not the ones who actually buy and support her things.

This Friday it will be 14 weeks since the I'm That Girl teaser dropped :duca:

I didn’t even bother entering the BMS thread because that’s what she gets.

Swifties already got videos, promo, and a legit tour announcement within two weeks of her album release. COMMUNICATION with FANS is why she continues to grow and prosper.

We are still waiting on an acknowledgment. The carters have been off putting for a minute.

BMS getting pulled from radio for seemingly no reason

Multiple songs their virality getting all but ignored

No communication since the Reverse Warholian looking ass press release in July

No visuals

It is November. There's something wrong behind the scenes. It's gonna be a bumpy ride to Act II, sistrens. Hold on tight.

I hope none of those other stans are seriously arguing about why BMS is off Billboard. She pulled it from radio which is unprecedented. None of their faves are doing that cause they know how essential that metric is to the hot 100. They literally don't have the balls and need that one song to sustain their album that was already pushing medicore numbers.

If we support her Tiffany campaign we may get another crumb :duca: keep buying the diamond bracelets you guys!

We'll leave that to her rich celebrity friends.

BMS probably was like #102 this week:rip:

I could see it picking up again next summer. Its a Spring/Summer song and also when she tours

the GP did connect with BMS...it wasn't Beyonce's first leading #1 in 14 years for no reason. the narrative shouldn't change amongst Hive just b/c it didn't spend a gazillion weeks on the chart like other songs. it lost significant radio support b/c it allegedly got pulled...they can decide to do the same thing with "Cuff It" too.

In the UK they did, but I was saying before the album drop that the song was disproportionately driven by radio in US and radio is not really the public :sorry:

Ignore the BB position and look at the nose dive in the streams...

has it really been that long already :psyduck:

BMS was always an iffy lead single. it's honestly the most vanilla song off Ren which is why she probably chose it, but it was never destined to become a huge hit.

now cuff it on the other hand...

Genuine question: Doesn’t BMS freefalling once it was pulled from radio kind of prove that the GP interest/support wasn’t as strong as we thought?

Wouldn’t higher streams and sales from the GP have been able to help keep BMS afloat longer despite it being pulled from radio?

if the chart positions are weighed heavily by radio then how was BMS sales/streams going to fight against that formula even if they any more higher??

Beyonce didn't do anything to help push it sales or streams but you don't go #1 if GP support is not there. esp someone with Beyonce's recent chart history.

Cuff it will probably go #1 in a few years with no promo/visuals to aid it.

Because they would offset the drop in radio support and keep it more stable on the charts, but once radio was gone it was dependant on weak streams to support it which is kind of the point. The streams are bad. The song wasn't heavily promoted but it had everything it needed to keep consistent.

It going No.1 was helped by the album launch which helped it jump 5+ places from album hype. Any sizable hit obviously has GP support but I think BMS was on the lower side of this, similar to something like Cardigan by Taylor (a song I love btw)
