No because I feel the exact same way about AHAP. I am almost certain AHAP will have the best visuals overall. She’ll be giving head of the Lastrassi crime family and America will eat it up.

Yeah the visuals I think I am most excited to see are AS, CG, VG, and AHAP.  I would say Heated probably too, simply because of that back half of the song, I can only imagine what she will do visually with it.

 

but that AHAP visual is going to EAT.  At this point I obviously don’t listen to the album in full every time I put it on but I absolutely do make sure I get at least one listen of AHAP in bc she really is just that girl.  It’s the “know that booty gon’ do what it want to” part that can take me there anytime, anyplace.

Yikes well I apologize for getting y’all confused although I do think I was clear I could have had the user wrong. It’s most likely I couldn’t remember specifically who it was and saw it as potentially you due to the username starting with a b and being 2 words, but nevertheless I do apologize.

 

having said that, Bey Admired made claims that didn’t sit right with me then or now and I stand by everything else I said a few days ago. But not even trying to stir that back up considering so many people seemed to be upset by a conflicting frame of mind. I certainly hope whenever more comes from this era we can all enjoy it collectively without being so hyper critical of Bey and her art and intentions. Again, sorry for the mix up though.

This idea just popped into my head as I was thinking about the potential visuals: do you guys think Bey will incorporate the tiktok dance into Cuff It's choreo for the visuals/performances or will she just do her own choreo for that song? 

so I was just thinking about it and remembered that Ariana Grande's "Positions" album only got like, those 4 or 5 Vevo live performance videos (9 or 10 months after the album release) and Taylor Swift hasn't performed anything on "Midnights" live yet when she's always done a live performance for her pop albums during or even before release in the past.

 

I am excited to see Renaissance songs come to life, whenever it happens. hopefully we get to see some before tour.

In one regard, she absolutely should!  It’s a huge part of the song’s success and it will be a cute way to toast that and cement it on film. It’d be a nice nod to the creators too. Add to that all the crumbs we’ve heard about reshoots, scrapped shoots, and revisions, and it’s clear they’ve been shooting during this period of it going viral. So, it’d be possible. 
 

At the same time, Bey is so elite with her art that I could see her making a point of not doing it so as to communicate whatever she always intended to with the visual. That or the video has been done and she’s fine with it as it is. 
 

Some kind of cute clip of her doing it in the end credits would be amazing and a good compromise, IMO. 
 

On a separate but related note: I really can only see her doing it in the context of an edited and polished music video. Even if it’s a “raw clip” (think 7/11). All the calls for her to “just hurry up and do it on TikTok” don’t give me the Bey we know (see: dancing for free on social media for the youngens). More likely, she’ll put it in her video and the gworls will make it viral on social media anyway.

Because nobody is actually doing promotion the old way because it doesn’t really reflect on the charts. Taylor didn’t perform anything on folklore/evermore either other than the Grammys performance (3 months after evermore, 8 months after folklore). 

 

My excitement for the visuals is still at its peak!

Much as I love Bey, I've always been equal parts slayed by Self Titled and annoyed by the era it ushered into the music industry. 

 

The industry at large was gagged and, as is the usual, everyone started to copy. "No promo' became the new promo. The value in "mystique" went up. And I honestly think labels rejoiced, because between the concept of "less is more" and the ease of social media announcements, they're able to save coins. IMO it's one of the industry's most successful pushbacks/recoveries on the financial chaos caused by the digital boom and downloading. 

 

We, as fans, are the ones who lose the most. Outside of promo heavy artists (like Gaga, Adele, and a select few others), it's as if the top artists are actively competing to see who can do the least and yield the most results. There's so much competition to come across as "premium "that we've realtime witnessed shows like the VMAs, AMAs, and even SNL become "beneath" the biggest acts who instead angle for these big one and done moments that get a lot of coverage (see: Homecoming, Grammys). 

 

I've long made peace with it, because things outside of artist's antics have changed too. Such as the industry itself becoming more 360 brand led (more diverse revenue streams) and technology allowing big reach without the maximum effort of gruelling promo schedules (see: streaming specials). 

 

It's just weird, as someone who grew up with eras that were defined by an overflow of content to see things drive in the literal opposite direction.
