The thing is that this was the era for her to come down and come back. This was the era to put on her big girl pants and be a showgirl with a smile on her face and some new moves. The project as a whole is closer to her fans than anything she's done in a long time, but she's not leaning into that at all. We're all Beyoncé stans because of what she's given us, what she's done in her career, not because of what she hasn't done or what we haven't seen. I get how ST had to be shrouded in total silence before release, but after release we got that live interview at the art school, the Out magazine cover and interview, and ofc the Grammy performance and the world tour. That's off the top of my head. After that, Lemonade didn't exactly lend itself to an all-out pop spectacular rollout but we did get the SB, immediate tour announcement, and all those visuals. But with Renaissance there's no good reason for her to have done so much less. Something different, sure; something more spread out, fine. But barely anything at all months after release? Wack. According to her this was the album of catharsis and release, of love and joy and acceptance and pride. Well then prove it ***** and do something that isn't a shameless cash grab.

 

During these months of the slowed-to-nothing trickle, I think of Mina, the iconic, revered Italian diva vocalist who famously retired from public life at the peak of her fame in the 70s. Just never performed live again and eschewed all celebrity activity. No one sees her. Tell Beyoncé that and watch her cream her panties. Then tell her that Mina still released at least one double-album every year for like twenty five years after that for the love of the music (and they all charted high with zero promo) and she still makes music in her 80s. Now watch Beyoncé choke.

 

 

People (aka @giRLbye.) saying we stanning charts not art because we wanna see some videos/performances anything are forgetting the videos and performances are also art and she (-‘d basically every other artist) always does those with their albums. Like what does that have to do with her charting well  the album is doing good anyway. we were just expecting some chart poison hbo only release a few weeks ago like it’s not about that at this point

I think its more frustrating now that she shared ITG visual and teasing SR visual for Tiffanys. Its like dancing around what she knows fans tweakin for. 

yeah I'm camp "the wait will be worth it" but I'm getting frustrated too... hopefully the Japanese release tomorrow brings us some hope & good content.

BMS came on again in the club and everyone was literally chanting the chorus. Glad I live in the country where its a smash because the way the rest of yall are going on, its not where you are because of some radio updates...

 

Honestly to think all of this music is less than 2 months old too. We really don't know how big these songs will be years from now. No one would of expected Love on The Brain and LOT to become the biggest streaming hits from their respective albums.
