We just come here once in a while and vent (while the album is streaming in the background) 

Fans have the right to be frustrated. It’s like seeing your child waste all their potential, but you still love them. 
A lot of us here grew up with Beyoncé and Destiny’s Child, so telling people to stop being fans because they want to see their fave is very extreme.

What's extreme is likening a 41 year old billionare, who is a stranger, to seeing your child waste their potential  She just had the number one album and single in the country and other parts of the world. 25 years into an unprecedented career.

Also, that’s a figure of speech. It’s called making an analogy. And it was the perfect analogy to explain some of the frustration fans feel but go ahead and be dense.

I think the issue lies in some hive don’t actually want to see her, they just want the standard album promo, they want big numbers and they want to see her posted up everywhere and winning like she truly deserves. That #1 and brief “promo” got into people’s heads and thought she was gonna change when that will never be the case.

 

From what I read on here it sounds like y’all want to stan the numbers instead of actually bey herself it’s one thing to crave content which I agree has been lacking but people are posting in here acting like they work at a music label with the way they seem to know how to do a album rollout. Give it up she’s never gonna change and the complaining isn’t doing anything but ruining the mood for other fans.

I was talking about stanning which is different than being a fan. She is not the woman we watched and listened to growing up. She is not going to change. You are not going to get a litany of performances and interviews, you aren't going to get single releases and promo. All you're going to feel is "frustration"

Bey has already lost a lot of her following. That is a fact. The GP is very fickle, if you don’t try to catch their attention, they’ll move on. I hope they didn’t overbook the tour. We already heard she’s doing 10 dates in the UK alone… Sade and Prince weren’t doing stadiums so her putting herself in their shoes is just a disaster waiting to happen.

I’m pretty sure we have to wait for people to get their physicals shipped and then for someone to upload the album commentary so it might take a few days I hope she reveals her fave track (and it’ll be Pure/Honey)

If you find my suggestion that you take a step back - if stanning her makes you this frustrated - extreme, I think it's fair I find you analogizing her to a parent being disappointed in a child extreme, too. 

 

What is one more top ten from this album if she pushes a single? One more number one? What does that accomplish for us as fans? 

 

I think we all agree the wait for the visuals is getting to be absurd, but the histrionics in here are so over the top.

Honestly I couldn’t care less about those things? I’d gladly trade Renaissance’s chart run for a calamitous Madame X-like 1-78-OUT chart run if that meant we could witness from Beyoncé the curiosity, inspiration, involvement, engagement, and pride that was evident throughout that era.

I agree. Though call me delusional for still remaining positive I still think that content will eventually come for Rennie. We got to see how she made self titled, lemonade, and even the gift but it didn’t come out immediately, it sucks but we just have to play the waiting game. You’d think she’s gonna end up homeless and forgotten with the way people are overreacting in here regarding her silence

And like the album debuted at 12 and BMS was OUT - OUT  It's one of the most successful albums of 2022.

 

There are valid critiques to be made but they're lost in the noise of all the overreactions.

I’ll be honest, knowing that we’re getting multiple acts is the only thing that’s stopping me from dragging her, this rollout is horrendous but I mainly care about the music and performances and if she’s gonna release 2 more albums I’ll gladly shut my mouth and enjoy the music, everything else is just a bonus

She seems to be moving toward eras being less dependent on her image and more the music. Is it a little extra this go round? yes, but it is what it is.

 

It just sounds like y’all twist yourselves into knots over this kind of stuff. Pick up a new hobby or learn a new skill and by the time you get the hang of it, I’m sure the music videos will be ready and released

tbh I think it’d be about the same. We didn’t need the teaser to know visuals were on the way (did we?), because that was never a question. But the fact that there’s been no follow-up teaser, no date or “coming soon,” no communication from her or her team? Jail. We might just as well have not gotten the teaser, we’re still in the dark, June teas.

Well for once, it hasn't been this way for a long time. She's been reclusive for the past decade yeah, but being MIA for 3 months into your era is just ridiculous, even for her.

 

So what should we talk about when there is nothing to talk about?  The album's been discussed to death already. Should we do album rankings again? Perhaps rank the pictures on the one slideshow she posted on instagram since the era started? Discuss Chloe again?

This is cute in theory, but that theory is exploded as she is currently the face of a multi-million dollar Tiffany campaign that is entirely dependent upon her image and her image alone. So she should pick one, methinks.

Charts success is always a nice bonus but I don’t think that’s the core of people frustration especially given that we have experienced countless flops. It’s more about being in the middle of an era (with her best album) and we are in complete darkness, complete silence. It’s a total limbo. She’s hardly recognizable and that will take some time for people to adjust. She needs to find a happy medium between wanting to perform in stadiums and being Sade 2.0
