I mean...I kinda wanted them to film both movies back to back and get it over with, but apparently it will take an eternity.

 

 

At this point its time to fully make peace with the fact that AG7 wont be out before 2024. She wasn't playing when she said that she wanted a change of pace and her next record better be a magnum opus.

Damn stanning an actress and/or make up girl isn't exactly fun

well the vevo sessions were cute, they may have been 3 months too late but atleast we got something

knowing Wicked was pushed back to November and will take an entire year to film makes me extra pressed we didn't get an album Q1 2022  

She already has songs ready so she better release AG7 this year. We know she won't promote so she should just drop it then go to work on her movies. We don't need high budget music videos, if she filmed her recording sessions, she can use them as music videos, we won't blame her.

I refuse to believe filming will take a year... there's just no way. No musical should take that long

There's no chance we get an album this year. The most realistic time frame is between Wicked wrapping production and its release date.

Pre-production and rehearsals are probably 2-3 months & the shoot itself will probably take about 3 months. Together, that's 5-6 months for one movie. If they're shooting back to back, it will take 10-12 months barring any COVID-related delays, injuries, and other issues that could delay production.

 

They'll also probably need some time to record both soundtracks.

I’m fully expecting her to do absolutely nothing of her own outside of makeup shilling until the release of the first film now. 

But I think if she’s really going to let positions turn five before she releases something else, it will get the acclaim it deserves retrospectively/there will be an even bigger demand when she returns

She isn't Rih. Our base is already starting to break into pieces after a barely 1.5 year break.

I think base wise it’s because she had a late peak, the people who bandwagonned in 2018 still have the newer toys to play with. 
 

As much as it pains me to say it, I’d much rather her work with this team really hard to make it the star vehicle I’m sure they want it to be for her to transition into a more multi-faceted career that’s built on the back of one of Broadway’s most successful IPs so that whenever she comes back, it’s not half-baked, there’s fresh influences and a feeling of newness attached.
 

For as good as positions is, there’s only so much time that’s passed that makes me think it wouldn’t just be her talking about healing or having good ***** over a trap beat again if she squeezed one in between movies.

If you think about it, 6 albums and 2 EPs over 7 years is an insane output. I'm not opposed to her taking 2-3 years away from music to get re-inspired but the complete radio silence (apart from S.C.A.M. promo) is unsettling.
