I'm pretty sad tbh :katie:, but I think it's time. I've been really annoyed lately at some of my predictions and when you then cant even figure out why you were so off...

And this thread is fine. Thanks everyone for the nice words

stan culture will never forget you, legend! which is both fortunate and unfortunate, lol... I hope you'll get to enjoy other hobbies more now, thanks for years of iconic predictions!

He should’ve done a website or youtube or something to monetize this, I bet the traffic he generated could’ve been great.

it’s not too late to make a Patreon. I just KNOW he could make thousands a month.

Not suprised when he has 15yr old gays sending him death threats everyday over washed out 2010’s pop acts  :biblio:

This.

Most probably, he simply got tired of them.

You lasted as long as you could, thanks for your hard work and services.

You guys need to actually chill the hell out, especially you two and anyone else talking on this "TOTC ended him" nonsense.

You guys seem to forget that he's an actual member on this forum (@simmnfierzig). Just because he happened to be one of the few ATRL members with actual popularity outside of the forum does not give you guys the clearance to make threads and posts about him in this manner.

There is no "ending" to be made here when all chart predictors are unpaid and can and will quit any time that seems appropriate since their predictions aren't even their livelihoods anyway. They do this as a hobby. Simm, the staff behind Talk of the Charts, and every other predictor get 0 pay for making estimates every week and posting them in a spreadsheet format.

I even question if this thread should be allowed to stay open because we generally don't allow threads to be made about one sole member, regardless of it being a positive, negative, or neutral thread because they tend to generate posts like the two I have quoted in this post. This thread will be monitored very closely as this pertains directly to an ATRL member. If the ATRL member in question requests the thread be closed then it will be closed. First and last warning.

:clap3:

end of an era for chart predicting, Sim was the predictor everyone would take seriously. Thank you for all your hard and unpaid work! :clap3:

I’m so sad about it. You did a great job for us, chartfreakers, all those years. I respect your  decision and I wish just good things for you. We’ll miss so much your predictions and thank you for all those years of incredible job. Hope you come back with ur predictions someday, of course,  If you feel good and free to come back with It.

@simmnfierzig Ty for your hardwork and persistence in presenting chart prediction data as accurate as possible. You were the reason why I joined ATRL in the first place so you were a huge part of my stan life. Rest well king :heart2:

A legend in the stan world, wbk

thanks for your hard work!

This is sad actually :weeps: Every time Ariana released, I was so hyped and perched to see Simon's first predictions come along, for a long time now

Thank you for everything @simmnfierzig and take care :heart2:

It's for the best, the poor sis got dragged for dumb things as if he had any power over the final numbers and at the end what he did were PREDICTIONS like don't they know they aren't 100% accurate? :toofunny3:

I assume part of it has to do with people being so angry at him for no reason. See: a few posts in this thread.

Thank you for your hard work!

@simmnfierzig please know you are a literal chart + ATRL legend. Thank you so so much :weeps: You're the only person on twitter I had tweet notifications on for.

It's kind of weird to think of stanning as a community but it truly is pretty huge these days, and your predictions impacted so many people and fandoms. Literally hundreds of thousands, if not MILLIONS of people. I'm sure you know and can see that from your tweet reach statistics.

The level of professionalism and dedication to chart analysis you had despite no financial incentive or reward is kind of unmatched. Tbh the stan community didn't deserve you and I hope the angry comments never got to you.

PERIOD!

SO iconic, down to the colours, ATRL font + background etc. We all knew it was simm and therefore was trustworthy just from that.

The backtrack:dies:

Simm's contributions have really been under-appreciated for years and is one of the little collections of data that really made ATRL / other underground forums "cool". It was really interesting to see his predictions back when music/commercial data was a more appreciated and organized topic as a whole (I think of 2012 - 2014 before Kworb blew up, etc.). I always wondered how he kept it going for so long given how obsessed many people are with data now / it's become very watered down & how stan culture has shifted so much - I would've said "screw it" a while back.

Thanks for many years of data! @simmnfierzig

@simmnfierzig I'm surprised you lasted so long first of all. :clap3: Huge amount of dedication to do dozens of songs information every single week, multiple times per week at that. It's completely understandable if you want to move on and take a breather from doing it.

I remember when you first started doing them in 2015-2016 in the Billboard threads every week, back when they were an event on ATRL, and hundreds of us would participate in the threads every week. Such fun memories

Thank you for everything, king

Thank you for your efforts @simmnfierzig ! I think that when artists started selling physical singles through their websites the data without numbers skewed the points available elsewhere for other songs.

wow, I remember simm predictions since...like forever :skull: literally since when I was just lurking on this forum :cries: ATRL legend, literally! Thank u!
