Right, I was more so quoting the other member when I mentioned "ending". But I quoted you in specific because again, your post directly pertained to an ATRL member and sometimes saying "outselling" can come with a little bit of a flamebait-ish connotation (even if it's just a joke), especially in this context because it is a somewhat personal comment towards another member of the forum. I haven't warned you and I presume no other mod will since I've already verbally warned you (lol), so just take this as a recommendation.

You guys seem to forget that he's an actual member on this forum (@simmnfierzig). Just because he happened to be one of the few ATRL members with actual popularity outside of the forum does not give you guys the clearance to make threads and posts about him in this manner.

There is no "ending" to be made here when all chart predictors are unpaid and can and will quit any time that seems appropriate since their predictions aren't even their livelihoods anyway. They do this as a hobby. Simm, the staff behind Talk of the Charts, and every other predictor get 0 pay for making estimates every week and posting them in a spreadsheet format.

 

I even question if this thread should be allowed to stay open because we generally don't allow threads to be made about one sole member, regardless of it being a positive, negative, or neutral thread because they tend to generate posts like the two I have quoted in this post. This thread will be monitored very closely as this pertains directly to an ATRL member. If the ATRL member in question requests the thread be closed then it will be closed. First and last warning.

At first I was very confused as to what we said was wrong since we joke about pop girls “ending” other pop girls, corporations ending other corporations (Savage x FENTY ending Victoria Secret”), etc. all the time on this forum, until you mentioned this thread is about one member and that’s against the policy. Oop! My bad! I didn’t even realize he was a member on here! Sorry! Thanks for the reminder!

He really did all of that work for us and made watching the charts exciting outside of Mondays when the top 10 gets posted. People treated him like dirt (especially rabid fanbases who conspired that he was trying to sabotage their faves...) when he did all of this for FREE, for US.

This is beyond childish and disgusting. He did hours of work every week to help make watching the charts more fun. He makes PREDICTIONS not 100% accurate interpretations of the formula, which he has said numerous times. Just because he predicted your fave's positions slightly off means nothing. I'd like to see you try and take every single metric into account, estimate Apple Music streams, and get it RIGHT. Grow up.

Simon, I've been following your twitter activity for years even before I knew what ATRL was. Thank you so much for doing predictions for all of us and making chart battles more exciting, being honest and open with your followers, and taking the needless bullying in stride and not lashing out at people.
