Good As Hell finally being the smash it deserves to be. 

Lizzo is huge right now in the States. A lot of buzz around her. TH is a smash.

She’s so going to put out a new album during the Grammy period to build off that hype.

 

2020 is also going to be her year.

After seeing stars turn up to her Nashville show, I feel Lizzo is also building up good will within the industry that will help further propel her. She also seems to have rather broad appeal and attracts a diverse audience. 

I think Lizzo is hitting so hard rn because she is the antithesis of everything about Trump's America, a proud display of unpologetic self-love and black female artistry that is incredibly refreshing after a hugely male-dominated couple of years with lots of misogynist and superficial themes in the music. She is literally a beacon of hope and ray of positivity in a super depressing American reality rn.

 

 

So the Billboard article either got it wrong or chart history got it wrong but "Good As Hell" has moved to #30, not #28.

There’s a lot of reasons Lizzo’s becoming huge. She’s sassy but not overbearing, body positive but not too preachy like Meghan was, radio friendly with a bit of edge, cross-genre appeal, etc.

It's the most mainstream one that's for sure. Doesn't always equate as "better" though
