  1. Things like this existing are why the US is not going to have any sense of cultural healing any time soon. We can disagree on politics and all kinds of things all we want, but this isn't even politics anymore. This isn't even about Trump. People are actively saying I do not care if my representatives sexually assault others as long as they push what I want. How do you ever attempt to get along with people like that? And you shouldn't. At that point I would rather you be an ignorant apolitical person who at least is apolitical because you see how corrupt and evil it all is currently and resent that. How people go to church worried about sin while actively supporting people who have committed sexual assault is some wild mental gymnastics
  2. Yeah but I mean it's America. So anything pro business but anti consumer is allowed here oh well
  3. I love Shawn but this is how I feel. Not to be rude but someone struggling with mental health issues is not constantly on vacation with apparent lovers living life to their fullest. Like it's okay to just say I hate this fame thing and I made my coin and I'm retiring and living in peace bye. Not to say he doesn't struggle with anxiety/stress as I am sure the job/industry is, but like all of us are working 40+ hour weeks with unrelenting stress and figuring it out
  4. Low key not even being rude. I think some people forget not everyone uses streaming. Like not even trying to drag older people. She is an old artist with a large older fanbase who probably does use physical more.
  5. not that sales inherently = good or bad music. But the album is not very good. It's a collection of undercooked demos + the singles at best. She's done wayyyy better many times. We all have a bad era or 2 she will bounce back
  6. After listening to this a few times yeah a lot of people are forcing themselves to think they like this album. It has its moments but this is just mediocre. The streaming numbers are extremely telling too. Best Charli album or in the top of them? You're kidding yourself it's not even close to her top 💀
  7. People are gonna be mad but she's boring and so is her music. It's not inherently bad it's just background noise similar to a lot of music you don't mind but don't really care for. She needs an identity and something that makes her stand out
  8. Such a good song. Sucks they don't give her playlisting but expected. I've played it so many times already
  9. Why is Madonna giving us the best music/visuals/promo of any pop girl in 2026? This is why boomers call young people lazy because wtf this is way better than anything anyone is putting out
  10. On second listen I like it more than first. I think it might grow on me more with time. I think this track would've benefitted A LOT from being cut down. The build up is satisfying but it takes a bit too long to get there which will deter a lot
  11. Well I hope the rest of the album is better because otherwise back to irrelevance. What was that?
  12. Why is the deluxe better than the original (except for a few tracks) 💀 not that I'm mad but I love all 8
  13. Yeah it's looking really good for Yes despite the current No small lead at this moment. Lots of unreported dem areas + lots of thresholds they needed to pass
  14. Now more than ever we don't need moderates objectively. The US needs more radical reform and any objection is people clinging to the past and boomer/establishment well being at the expense of everyone else over actual good policy for the people as a whole. The democratic leadership knows it and is trying its best to maintain power it will inevitably eventually lose due to their failure to govern in a way that helps people beyond nominal scraps now and again and being marginally better than republicans
  15. Wait this is the first time I've loved a song by her this is great!
  16. I wouldn't say as a whole the category is performative, but rather the Grammys (along with other award shows) are in general because social responsibility is popular and sells. You can increasingly tell they are curating winners and performers to reach as many groups of people as possible and using such messaging. I rarely see discussion about the actual music or films and it is more about the people and politics and celebrities posturing themselves. I understand art is often reflective of culture and it's thus relevant, but it seems that is now what takes precedent over the actual purpose for the show existing, music This year in particular is a tough one because undoubtely Bad Bunny had an insane year and top album. But at the same time despite massive numbers both worldwide and in the US in addition to acclaim his album being Spanish appeals mostly to a demographic that is a minority in the US. And Hispanics themselves only make up around 20%. It is to be expected a large portion of the country doesn't know him/his music and is extremely confused and feels alienated even if they are used to feeling like the majority. So for an American based program it feels odd to them even if it is self absorbed for the show to focus on someone bigger on the international stage rather than the domestic stage. The hard part is that any nuanced discussion is dismissed as racism/hateful and that is fair cause there are many of those types also speaking, but people can feel disappointed that some of their favorite pop culture events are increasingly alienating them and not interesting to them anymore but also happy that more people are being included and represented. But sadly many people communicate that poorly and instead lash out against others who are just living their lives. But overall that's kinda why it feels performative to so many whether or not it's true even if they aren't necessarily racist or hateful
  17. No. Because if you speak you will be dragged for being performative and never letting anything be fun anymore. If you don't speak you don't care or you like what's going on. People are going to form an opinion on you negatively either way based. It creates the culture of being performative over substance and exhausts people from actual activism/care in forms where appropriate. Almost no one will click into the proper forums for such topics when there are many. But then expect it at the Grammys for some reason. It's a bunch of people virtue signaling by posting online or speaking at pop culture events to feel like they're helping rather than anything of actual substance. And for the small amount who do both this isn't about you, it's about the majority
  18. Hate to say it but disappointed. The singles weee fantastic. Every album track feels like it has a solid base, but fails to deliver in a satisfying way. I was hoping to like at least a few after how much I've loved the singles
  19. Them trying to force Focus was such a bad choice. It's an okay song but it was a repeat of Problem. Might've been a bit better if Jamie wasn't hooting and hollering through the chorus though. Dangerous Woman though for sure was it. It was the edgier more mature vibe she needed at that time for people to take her more seriously as a pop star, not to mention the better song in general. Labels stay chasing trends, Ariana pushed them to let her grow for the both of them. That is why modern attempts by labels to make pop stars fail more than ever even worse than back then. They just try to copy everything everyone else does, invest nothing, and tell them to go viral on TikTok and don't help. I get it makes your investment in someone more risky if it doesnt pay off, but enjoy the mass amount of flops ig
  20. The epitome of what everyone says/thinks. What I had growing up was the best to most people. This happens with everything
  21. Typical pedophile supporting scum. I guess if you support pedophilia these days though being in the Republican party is your ideal place to be so fitting
  22. Ngl I hate to say I do not care for it 😭 I was so bored after multiple attempts to like it
  23. I mean if you think she's gonna re-peak you're kidding yourself. No one expects Katy Perry to be huge commercially anymore. We just want some good songs and fun tours and she will always have a following for her past hits and good enough. People seem more obsessed about her level of success than even she does herself. Focus on booking that career of your own as many of you can barely afford rent but have plenty of time to discuss Katy Perry online
  24. Democrats really are never beating the "well at least we aren't republicans" as their only message allegations 💀 Same party aside from a small amount of additional concern for US centric social issues lmaooooooo
  25. It's a good thing opinions aren't facts because to publicly say this even if you hate both songs takes another level of delusion. Hearing this and thinking "hm similar quality as woman's world" like are you deaf?
