why would Hakeem Jeffries automatically be Speaker of the House if Dems take back control? Is there another option? He doesn't deserve that title, he's done nothing.

Someone else can run, but the Democrats would vote for who they want to be Speaker of the House. Hakeem was Nancy Pelosi's choice to succeed her, so there's a good chance the party establishment still fall behind him.

First page  whew last night was a great time to lib out. I know my MAGA relatives were FUMING

 

EVERY VOTE MATTERS!!!
 

In my local election someone lost by 24 votes. At LEAST 64 people did not vote in that particular council, myself included. I voted in 2 councils. Both people I voted for lost :(. One of the winners was a Charlie Kirk sympathizer on his Facebook page smh. It was a non-partisan role anyways.

A democrat hasn't won the mayorship since 1997 and dat was Xavier Suarez trying to steal da election which he was found guilty of (and had da nerve to run again this year)

It's typically is blue but they elect red.
