  1. Oh wow, I couldn't have said it better myself
  2. Yes. He ruled 2009-2015.
  3. Adele obviously. No disrespect to Adele, but… she's just some random girl from Tottenham singing ballads. It's wild that she became what she became. You would never expect her of all people to break album sales records previously held by boy bands and teen idols which have hoards of loyal and adoring fans. Adele is the definition of organic.
  4. Clearly Hello/25 had so many iconic gifs made. So did other previous smashes and flops. But TTPD is currently smashing records and… nothing. Online pop culture is really dead.
  5. Could only get this gif to embed; the others I guess are to old: http://i.imgur.com/XGRI6OF.gif http://i.hizliresim.com/AgWB90.gif http://abload.de/img/adelezja0i.gif http://abload.de/img/adeleshade2zsiz.gif http://i.imgur.com/GydQeJN.gif Why doesn't Atrl do gifs like this anymore
  6. I wish I didn't listen because now I seriously need the full version.
  7. I love Miley, but sometimes she makes it difficult. She released Doctor when she has this smash just sitting around…
  8. I don't know how to properly type. And I basically type documents for a living. I have to look at the keyboard and find every letter. We were technically taught how to type properly in grade school through a program called Type to Learn. But, at the time, I did not realize how important of a skill typing would be so I cheated in the program and never learned. Oops. I could still learn if I just took the time, but I have yet to do so.
  9. Yes. More than 14 tracks should be illegal; 12 tracks is the sweet spot. I can't stand filler. I don't agree with the argument that if I really like an artist I should want as many songs as possible. Nope. Give me your absolute best or keep it. I have yet to see a great 20+ song album be created in a normal length 1-3 year album gap. Corners are being cut somewhere in the process.
  10. No. You just had to be there. Taylor is making a run at it, but I think this is Taylor's peak. I know people say that about Taylor for every album but it will be hard for her to compete with TTPD first week in the future since it has 31 tracks which certainly helps with SPS numbers.
  11. I'm wondering how old they are tbh. Because I genuinely have a hard time believing that anybody who was old enough in 2015 to fully experience the release of 25 would be belittling it. The release was pandemonium.
  12. Anomaly replied to iamvladd's topic in Base
I usually just lurk this base from time-to-time, but I guess I'll post… The Adele discrediting makes me think that many of these Taylor Swift stans must be pretty young. Because I have a hard time believing that they would be discrediting what Adele did if they had been old enough to truly experience the Hello/25 release in all its glory. That song and album release was truly a sight to behold. As a general fan of music, I have doubts I'll ever experience anything like that release again in my lifetime. It was wild. The world felt like it stopped; I wish I could re-live it. Taylor's numbers are also of course very impressive to say the least. I what to give her credit where credit is due.
  13. True. Adele might not be smashing records anymore… but how many major artists even at their peak sell 800k+ in the first week. How many major artists even at their peak get a 10 week number one on the Hot 100. Adele did that with 30. Adele's future commercial success is uncertain, but she is still very much a relevant player in the music industry and to suggest differently is pretty insane.
  14. Taylor vs. Adele is the dumbest "feud". It's completely imaginary and always has been. There is zero ill will between these two women. In fact, all signs point to the complete opposite. Yet somehow a small amount of users online have managed to vicariously contrive and perpetuate this thing for years now. As a fan of both artists, it's beyond annoying at this point. Both women have been successful and that is great.
  15. I feel geriatric considering I miss the old fashion days of Taylor Swift lead singles and promo singles (prior to the album) and full album rollouts with talk show appearances, TV performances, and Target commercials. All this effortless astronomical success killed any last hope I had of that ever happening again.
  16. Wild method of implementation though. I wonder how a banning method like this would hypothetically hold up in the US constitutionally. Typically, age discrimination is perfectly constitutional as age is not a suspect class. But this type of age discrimination is a bit different than typical age discrimination as instead of banning below a certain age… it bans completely after a certain birth year.
  17. Because IF is great as it regulates insulin sensitivity/blood glucose in your body to promote fat loss. Also it keeps you from overeating. Nobody needs three meals in a day. Very flawed study from the same American "Heart" Association that places its heart healthy logo on foods like processed kids cereal, fake butter, beyond meat, and chocolate milk loaded with added sugar. Much of the AHA's funding comes from ultra processed food manufacturers and big pharma companies who make more money off of Americans eating more meals (especially from breakfast). This observational study finding IF unhealthily does a poor job at controlling variables like smoking and drinking habits. It is designed to create doubt and fear in consumers in order to get them to consume more. This same strategy was previously used by the tobacco industry in order to make smoking seem healthy. IF is not a shortcut. It is one of the best ways to lose fat and stay healthy. Many more reliable studies also show it fights against cancer and promotes epigenetic rejuvenation. Edit: I want to be sure to clarify. DO NOT STARVE YOURSELF! Be sure to eat a filling amount of calories while intermittent fasting and you will still lose weight.
  18. Cruel Summer She had this mega-smash on the Lover album and chose ME! for the lead.
  19. I like it. It will be great on my playlist for a while. But, this song, like Houdini and TS, is still missing the IT factor imo. I'm not sure exactly what the IT factor is, but I know this is missing it.
  20. Yes, planes can fly with the eclipse and see totality for an extended period of time. But a car would have to be traveling at like 1,000+ mph to keep up with an eclipse. Even faster than that to catch up with it.
