Zara Larsson - "Blue Moon"
She has a such a chic/effortless fluidity in her movement and dancing .. she was really meant to be a pop star. Unlike some of the other girls she's directly competing with.

Happy Bday best song by Max Martin!
Not even in Max's top 10 best songs … probably not even in the top 20 or 30 either honestly, and also not even the best song he's done with Ellie

Katy Perry parts ways with Chris Anokute
Well it's frankly an indictment of both her artistic and business acumen that she put too many of her eggs in Dr Luke's basket. When you get to be as big as Katy Perry, if you keep your stride anyway, you could work with virtually anyone you wanted to in the music industry. She brought in a hodge podge of people for Witness (but noticeably a lot of Dr Luke acolytes) , and that demonstrates she was fine coasting. Yes, SHE. If she perceived at that time her A&R was not setting her up for success and ensuring she'd continue to evolve as an artist (which she's kinda never done anyway) then she could have made the determination almost a decade ago to part ways with him. She was fine being complacent and it kinda cost her career. I frankly don't even know that in 2026 she'd be able to write another NRO or Harleys; nothing on 143 demonstrates she's still got a good ear for present day pop music. Another thing: teams are obviously important. An A&R being responsible for sourcing sounds, songs, producers is important for a lot of artists, true, and it's not to say she doesn't need help procuring those elements of music for her projects, but Katy came out the gate purporting herself as a songwriter first, and I think when that's the image you put forward for yourself people expect you to be in the forefront of the creative / sonic decision making in your career. Artists like Britney in her prime or Tate McRae nowadays could not function without their A&R bc they're not songwriters they're simply pop stars. So all that to say she can fire and restructure her team however she wants or as many times as she wants, but if she as the artist simply doesn't have the sauce anymore what difference is it really gonna make ??

Katy Perry parts ways with Chris Anokute
She has a myriad of problems that extend beyond her A&R; the biggest one probably being she's perceived as horrifically corny and cringe now to the GP. Best she can hope for is being regarded as fabulous for a throwback and hope there's another TV show she can judge for a cute check, or just go be the wife of a former prime minister ! That's chic enough without her trying to force her insipid pop music down people's throats when it's clearly time for her to move on.

Travis Kelce liked misogynistic Shane Gillis SNL monologue on insta
Good one. I'm literally not even a pearl clutcher lol his monologue was just painfully unfunny, coupled by the fact that he's calling women in the gym whores while he stands there at like 270 pounds looking every bit of an unf*ckable chud. And you rushing in to excuse that as a means of protecting your fave's husband/Reputation ?? Well that's simply a good illustration of yalls lack of standards. Carry on guzzling your pickle juice plebeian !

Yes SYG , famously viewed by millions of people and broadcast on TV. It's no wonder yall continue to stan despite the kids bopification of your faves music; a lot of you have the brain capacity and the critical thinking skills of a toddler with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome

Olivia Rodrigo f/ Chappell Roan - "expectations"
Lol this is like …. Easily the most radio ready/single worthy song on the album and the one that would fit a Chappell collab the best which will make it even more popular .. it was actually confusing to me that she chose Drop Dead (a retread snooze of a song) over this as the lead. Would I prefer maggots for brains a single ? Sure but the GP wouldn't appreciate it like they will this one

Shane Gillis BOMBS SNL monologue, gets dragged for misogynist jokes about women
Well I think after the reception to him hosting this time and the fact that he said "f*ck" live on air during a sketch which will probably result in some kind of fine, they're probably finally done with his ugly ass The monologue calling women wh*res … especially after the ongoing national conversation about the Cornell case …… I mean like truly who ever even approved that ?? Maybe Lorne should go ahead and retire

Why are Ryan Murphy actors such massive b*tches and mean girls IRL?
Maybe ATRL doesn't need to hear every random angry thought you have about actors you've never met/will never know!

Why does Tate McRae still feel so generic?
Her music feels like an amalgamation of every pop banger from the mid 2000s and it's frankly not smart or intelligent enough to be like … aware of its own pastiche. "Reheating nachos" is kinda over but there's really not a more apt comparison; she's literally just reheating and recycling the same songs that we've already heard from people who had better and more authentic vision for pop music.

- Axios: OpenAI/Anthropic planning PR response to potential 2027 catastrophic event
Another thing: darkly amusing that if these conversations are indeed taking place (and I believe they are even if it's not gonna happen as quickly as reported), the focus from these companies is on how to shift blame away from themselves and to respond to a potential revolt than it is about what they can do to ever prevent this kind of **** from happening.- Axios: OpenAI/Anthropic planning PR response to potential 2027 catastrophic event
Many of us don't have an Axios subscription so I'm gonna try to find select passages from the article to highlight: https://www.axios.com/2026/10/09/ai-companies-day-after-major-attack Maria Curi highlights how top executives at major artificial intelligence companies including Anthropic and OpenAI are privately planning for "the day after" a major catastrophic AI event. Key Points: • Anticipated Threat: AI leaders are gaming out scenarios involving a large-scale event, most likely an AI-driven cyberattack, that could sever access to essential infrastructure such as financial systems, internet connectivity, or power and water supplies. • Public and Political Backlash: Executives fear that the first instance of major real-world harm caused by unsafe AI would ignite widespread public revolt and turn political sentiment against both AI leadership (such as Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman) and government officials for failing to implement sufficient safety regulations. The report from Axios specifically mentions that the leaders of these tech companies (Dario Amodei and Sam Altman) believe such an event could be possible within the next 6-12 months TL;DR: hard to tell in today's media ecosystem whether stories like this are purposeful, blatant fear-mongering leaked by the tech platforms/their leaders in order to make their tech look more powerful and desirable for other countries, or if there's real concern about something like this happening .. then again we all see and feel things on our own and I think most of us can agree that AI is barreling forward at an alarming speed, seemingly without many guardrails to prevent this kind of thing from ever happening. IMO it's less of a matter of "if" at this point than it is "when"; 6-12 months may be way off and maybe there's not an immediate cause for concern yet, but it's also a situation where we're only gonna find out how f*cked we are once something like this actually happens lol.. anyway enjoy your day girlies ! - Troye's music bombing nuclearly. Has he fumbled his career?
I mean he's like quite literally never been a "hitmaker" …. He's still quite niche and regulated as a "queer" artist (for mainly a queer audience !) I think we need to allow music / artists / projects the time to let their records breathe … a single or an album comes out and before people really even sit with it they make definitive determinations about its quality and that's stupid. I think he's still in a phase with his career where he's cultivating his sound and audience , and if nothing else he still has eyes on him from the gays and the girls that love the gays. I think he'll be fine when it's all said and done; I like his offerings from this project so far and his last album was the first time I ever gave his music a chance so
