I think that remains to be seen. SNL UK aired last night and made fun of him all night (deservedly). Plus his ticket prices dropped to like $36 on re-sale so sales have absolutely slowed down… plus hasn't he lost like 300,000 Instagram followers? We'll see the actual impact when his next era starts… but plenty of people (especially young people/Gen Z) are going to think of him as a spineless coward and a genocide denier going forward.

Matt is a well respected influencer and has a huge following online… and he's taken pretty seriously by a lot of full-time political commentators… Engage with the content… watch a video essay… he's driven by progressive politics but often his content intersects with popular culture… (hence the P!nk commentary) most of his takes ring true for a lot of progressives or people who have left-leaning politics. I get that you want to defend your fave but she's done wrong… people are free to criticise her.

We should make space to discuss both. Obviously. However - the account tagged in the OP belongs to a pretty detestable individual who is vehemently Pro-Israel. Let's not give him any attention…

Ed girl… just cancel the tour at this point. The more he talks about it… the worse it gets. This really isn't an issue you can pull a "both sides bad" card on…

The thing is… Max Martin is still an amazing producer and he's still behind the biggest and best pop hits of the last 3 decades… it's just that none of that magic is found when it comes to Showgirl. 1989 will forever remain her bullet-proof pop masterpiece - as it should, it's a phenomenal project. I think if he's brought back into the fold then he needs to bring more people… like Ali Payami, Rami Yacoub, Oscar Holter or even an amazing song-writer like Savan Kotecha. Bring the whole Swedish-pop-excellence squad!

Yeah there's a situation where this could have easily been Taylor rather than Ed… her openers for Eras - MUNA and Paramore are explicitly Pro-Palestine (as they should be). I think going forward this will just mean Taylor (and her fellow A-List peers - Drake, Beyoncé, Gaga etc) will give opening acts contracts which will forbid them from bringing up certain topics whilst on stage. There's a real divide between the millennial superstar that only bring awareness to means-tested political issues when the issue can serve their brand… but Gen Z has proven to be much more outspoken and active when it comes to basically any political issue… Olivia, Billie and Chappell are great examples of that. However… in a parallel universe - if Taylor was in this situation, I do think she would have called Robert Krafts bluff and moved the show to a different venue, she's smart enough to know that if she would have dropped her support act for expressing pro-Palestine views it would turn into a PR nightmare (arguably something much worse than snake gate)… tbh I'm not even sure Ed can bounce back from this, he's getting absolutely crucified online.

Cannot believe how well things worked out for her… Nicole and LA are proving bigger than anything Katseye have put out. Not getting into the group turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

Greg would be great but he's been very quiet in recent years (as far as I'm aware at least)… but for awhile he was basically the next best thing to Max Martin for a great pop hit. Monsters and Strangers are hugely underrated - they've made some incredible songs.

In a perfect world Taylor would work with new blood for 13 but I really think it'll be a Max / Jack / Aaron project. Dream TS13 producers: Jeff Bhasker (Holy Ground, Kiss It Better) Naomi McPherson (of the band MUNA - openers for Taylor on the Eras Tour… so a collaboration feels within reach) Andrew Watt + Cirkut (These two have been on quite a roll since being the architects behind MAYHEM) Would also welcome Danny L Harle, Koz, Ian Kirkpatrick… just fresh faced pop producers that have proven track record. Would also welcome Nathan Chapman for a song or two but I'd prefer she stay away from a purely country project.

I don't love any of them but Petal is the one I'd pick out of the three.

I always liked Breathin. It's the most straightforward pop moment on Sweetener… never got why Ari always seemed to dislike it? Very sorry about your father. That's a horrible situation to be in.

The choruses here that I would describe as "sugar rush" moments belong to Versailles, Burning Heart, Don't Leave Me On The Dance Floor and No Labels, I Love You. But this is a very different beast to Emotion and Kiss. This is the first album from her where production feels like it's front and centre before anything else… and "Night" is pure groove rather than explosive synthpop.

On first listen… Burning Heart is my favourite track here. I need more time with the whole thing… Day exceeded my expectations whereas Night disappointed.

In terms of albums… I don't think Tove Lo has created anything truly great in years… for me personally - her last amazing record was Lady Wood. Since then her projects have been very middle-of-the-road. I gave her Estrus a listen and for me… it's not really any worse than Dirt Femme. The two songs I liked were F.A.M.T. and Source of Life but everything else was just meh. Not necessarily bad… just nothing I could see myself returning to. I think she's better when writing for other artists rather than herself.

I literally do not care. The damage is done. The mask has slipped. Ed Sheeran is worth over 400million and Kraft remains a billionaire. And "in the region" give me a BREAK. This money is going straight to the IDF.

Okay I'm getting a little too excited. A boxeset of her all her albums, re-recordings (including Debut TV + Rep TV) + vault tracks + additional vault tracks for albums Lover - Showgirl would be absolutely insane. God I PRAY the artwork and packaging eats. The Karma album getting released omg. We won. Suddenly I don't care that she's a billionaire and that showgirl sucked… TAKE MY MONEY TAYLORD.

Try, Sober, Glitter In The Air, Trustfall, Are We All We Are and All I Know So Far - excellent songs. P!nk is widely inconsistent and a lot of her songs are genuinely pretty mid… but she's got her fair share of gems. I'm sad that she's essentially joined the Gal Godt, Debra Messing club. Boo. The first Wonder Woman and Will & Grace are ruined for me and now I need to throw a lot of good P!nk singles into the same fire.

Tom is a good looking man… even for someone in his 60's… but this is a horribly unflattering photoshoot.
