KATSEYE - "Animal"

Featured Replies

It's kinda flat but it's not bad, it will def be a radio hit given how familiar the structure is. Lara really eats her parts but no one else is distinct to me besides her and Daniela.

video was fun! song is okay. The best part is they're all singing and sound good - but if you're gonna do GG VOCAL song, it should have real background vocals, adlibs, vocal layering, etc. skull

also, the choreo isn't nearly as good as Gabriella, which is what saved that song for me...maybe when we see the whole thing it'll click.

overall I'd give it 6.5-7/10

When they do straight pop like these, the productions just sound empty to me....compare to this FLO song that just came out..

not gonna lie to you, I prefer the approach of each one takes turns with lines, but agree on adlibs

you can still do that and accomplish all the things I mentioned. Lots of other current GGs do it. Katseye is allergic to harmonies skull

Personally, I will never listen to it again, just cornball uninspired garbage.. "I'm friends with the monster" Disney Channel / Fifth Harmony reject ahhh song.

I never liked Gabriella or Gameboy, so this was clearly never gonna be my cup of tea. Y'all enjoy it though since y'all were begging for it. Call me when they're back to making experimental catchy bops with fire choreo coffee2

It's okay. I do agree the chorus is not strong enough for this to be another Gabriela and overall it sounds kinda empty.

Lara sounds great on the pre-chorus btw! Regardless I hope this does good for them. I still have no idea why the internet is so harsh with these girls.

You might enjoy Hooti Frutti deadbanana4

The song needs more to the production, more vocal lines etc, it does sound generic like I feared.

Welp, they will probably go back to making labubu slop in no time

right, I was kinda thinking more of groups that sing choruses in unison like red velvet and I'm never the biggest fan of that. harmonies would elevate their songs for sure

Why is this such a 1:1 with I'm In Love With A Monster? rip

It needed a spin on the 2nd verse and some kind of kpop break in the end. Praying this goes nowhere.

bland horrible waste of my time

they are undeniably the girl group with the worst discography of all time

The song is ok, i wish they would harmonize more, I'm tired of choruses just being solos

waiting 4 months for 5 songs ep and the 2 singles can't even match Tonight I Might qualitea

kukai

maybe they should follow manon and become full-time influencers

Not to mention their vocals are abysmal. Makes a studio session demo singer sound like Mariah Carey

whatever they put out will stick at this point, so they'll be back to what you want and likely on the EP michael

It reminds me of both the Fifth Harmony soundtrack song and Gentleman by the Saturdays.

It's not a bad track, but it kinda needs a little oomph. This track really could have benefitted from a good bridge and a better curated last chorus with all bells and whistles.

But it is what it is

Finally a listenable song... but they still could've gone harder. What a waste of vocal talent
