looking purely at their public activities since debut (and obviously without knowing what goes on behind the scenes) I don't think Manon has come across as someone who's held the group back or been unable to keep up esp to the general audience. if anything she's been a positive addition to the group's overall presence and dynamic

the beat is extremely reminiscent of some other older song I can't quite recall rn (perhaps more than one) but I'm assuming it doesn't sample anything cuz of the op credits so maybe its just the overall throwbacky sound / radio friendliness

I don't know if there's a concrete answer but from what I've read — they wanted to focus solely on Gabriela for their awards campaign last year rather than potentially vote splitting by submitting Gnarly to Best Dance Pop. But they might as well go for all possibilities this time around now that they are Grammy nominees

It'd be a scream for Pinky Up to win them their Grammy Especially for the yearly dance pop gay category
