A stone cold classic

I don't hate it completely but was definitely overplayed back in the day. Not only was it on the radio but it would be the background music for certain things, even just transitional music on MTV/VH1 shows. The song was so prominent. This saw Sheryl going more commercial and more pop than her previous releases. It's one of the biggest songs of her career but I can definitely see how a fan of hers back then would think she was 'jumping the shark'. This was like her "Why Can't I?" by Liz Phair. It propelled their careers

If you listen to the song without watching the video you can hear almost every out of tune note in her vocals. Truly the Taylor blueprint.

Very funny but she is an extremely gifted and incredible vocalist. The tone in this song is a stylistic choice, similar to some other massive hits of hers. This is a woman that sang next to Michael Jackson on his tour, equipped with solos and everything.
