Is an apple watch worth it?

Featured Replies

so, i was thinking about buying the apple watch series 11, but are they worth it? id use it to see how i sleep and how ive been doing at the gym/pool

ALSO, should i buy a brand new 11, or an 10 o 9 refurbished is okay?

only if you really plan on using it. I got mine out of boredom and forget to charge it most of the time, but I like the sleep tracking and that you can control your music without pulling out your phone

IMO it's only good if you want to track your activity + have a fast paced job where you can't check your phone regularly

I only use it for activity+ which is another subscription fee and the sleep tracker. I find the sleep tracker is off a lot of the time because I'm a restless sleeper anyway.

I kinda regret getting it

I love mine but i'm also required to wear a watch for my job, idk that i'd use it that much if it wasn't for that

I personally love mine for tracking my activity.
Also its good as a remote for like taking pictures (and ****ing videos sabrina)

For me I feel like for smart watches to be truly worth it, their batteries need to last at least one week without charging. Apple watches in particular are ugly af too, so they need to fix that too

Maybe try taking one for a spin from a retailer with a good return policy.

I'd suggest the 10. It introduced a new redesign and additional features for the first time in years; the 11 is more like an Apple Watch 10 SE.

I found that it gamifies fitness a lot and it has little features you might learn to appreciate, and the integration with your iPhone is really nice. I like keeping an eye on filling out my rings as well. It's really nice at first to keep up.

I've had a Series 7 since like 2022 I bought used from someone online and it's still going altho battery health is at 79% now. I'd suggest either open box in excellent condition from Best Buy if you can find them (which are basically customer returns), or Swappa. eBay refurbs should be ok too, just make sure to check everything works fine. eBay open box is really good too.

Also the sports loop is the best imo.

I love mine. I can answer phone calls and read notifications without having my phone, it helps me locate my phone when I lose it, I can control my music on it, it tracks my health, and also it tells me the time.

For me, very.

It tracks my steps, sleep, breathing, and more.

And one time, it tracks anomaly on my heart beats before I know it. Like, I feel super healthy and active during this. Which helped a lot, cos I quickly checked on my PCP after, and received news that if I acted any slower without the alert from my watch, I could have been in more dire situation, since that alert get me to avoid a heart attack.

Yes I use it to track my activity, calories burned and my sleep. I also use it as my alarm clock, it's a nicer way to wake up as it just vibrates on your wrist and there's no loud sounds

Get a Xiaomi smart band. 10x cheaper, lasts for two weeks on a single charge, does exactly the same as an Apple Watch. I used to have an Apple Watch for 10 years before.

Depends. I got it as a gift and it's great for tracking workouts and other forms of activity (especially running) without having to carry your phone around. But otherwise I don't use it, and also forget to charge it because the battery life kinda sucks.

Based on what you'll use it for, yeah it should be worth it.

It's the best smartwatch on the market and it's not even close

I don't get the point of having a phone in your pocket and then a watch that replicates the same functions. It's branding and gimmicks.

I hate watches because they make my forearms look smaller monkey

I got rid of my Apple Watch and just purchased the Fitbit Air. It began feeling redundant having the watch and constantly looking at it for notifications. So I'm excited to try out a tracker without the screen to distract.

It's only worth it if you actually use the features. There are plenty of other smart watches out there that aren't so expensive.

I love mine but my friend only charged me $200 dies I love using it when I don't wanna text like a super spy agent

That's why only the cellular version really makes sense to me, where you don't have to keep your iphone near.
