I usually love Dagny but I'm really not connecting with this new sound… it feels like she's trying to do her best Agnes impression and it's just not landing.

I think the two singles are bops but they seem to not connect to people at all. The streams are abysmal :(

I actually quite like them myself but there's something about the production on both that sounds unfinished / almost like a demo

I did not expect it so soon, hoping we don't have to wait 6 months for vinyl (hopefully I can snatch my third signed Dagny vinyl)

These two songs are the worst she has ever released. I hope the full thing blows my mind

idk I feel like they are made to feel very nostalgic...it works for me just the way it is. But I get it.

I don't ever want to sound like a hater, I really really want to love them- I've been a stan since 2016 so I'm always rooting for her & I think the sound is actually interesting for her, but in CDQ the vocal track sounds like it was recorded on an iPhone and reverbed in garage band 😭 and we have to say that!

Her new music is sooooo mid omg but it's fun

It's been a year and a half of writing. I started out in London in autumn of 2024. I tried a little bit of this and a little bit of that, but quite quickly came to realize I wanted to make songs that felt a little «bold» - something that made me wanna strut down my street, instead of walking it. Some songs I could move to in a different way! I discovered the quirkiness of David Byrne & Talking Heads and the confidence of Madonna and I even wrote some kpop songs after having seen Aespa perform in Japan!

Now I'm happy to announce that it's resulted in my third album; «Dancefloor Erotica» that's out on the 12TH OF JUNE 🖤🖤🖤🖤

Recently, there's been some talk of «old Dagny» and «new Dagny». I can assure you, there is no old or new Dagny, simply just Dagny. But different phases means finding inspiration in new places, in new songs and new emotions. For those of you who's followed me for a while, you'll know that Backbeat is not the same as Somebody, and Somebody is not the same as Jupiter and in between there we've got Coulda Woulda Shoulda, Bye Bye Baby and Fool's Gold, ect. Before Backbeat, I did melancholy singer/songwriter songs. You catch my drill 🔩

My bet is that I'm always gonna wanna explore new things and feel a sense of being in motion. I love that about music; how it can soundtrack different times of your life and different emotions. And for me, this album gave me a reminder to be bold and brave during a time when I needed that reminder. I hope it can inspire you to be brave too, even when it feels scary and way out of your comfort zone ✨I promise I'll tell you more about the album in the upcoming weeks!

She really should've continued the trilogy, even if she had to release them a few years apart instead of back to back.

She has also announced a European tour for next year.
