It was released during 2012 when Adam Levine was everywhere, and the production (handled by Shellback and Benny Blanco) is extremely polished.

The chorus uses a very specific melodic math that makes it impossible to forget. It's a guilty pleasure song for many because it's so shamelessly catchy.

I used to adore this song, but it's not something I play often anymore. One More Night and Love Somebody on the other hand...

i don't mind it that much but i prefer their earlier hits, this is right on the edge of them just getting persistently annoying all the time

specifically loved payphone (feat. Wiz Khalifa). one more night was pretty good too but i remember being really annoyed that gangnam style wasn't number one for those weeks instead tbh. the singles on overexposed were actually pretty good, v also had some great singles but that was a truly horrendous album as has all their music been since

They definitely sold out, but it's still a legitimately good pop song from a band that simply has much better music. I like it.
