So, I didn't even realize the video dropped for That Girl until I saw it on my TL just now and watched. I'm gobsmacked. That song has the most hit potential after Chanel and the label cleared that for release... It looks like a visualizer. No dancers, and Tyla isn't even singing along to the song for most of it. Just her dancing in a tan dress with some cartoon characters? It's hard for me to believe this was even planned. I would have thought a friend of hers said they do animation but are only in town for the next 24 hours so she threw on a dress and recorded some scenes of her dancing to add at a later date. I mean... that was bad.

It's really a shame because the album is so good, but how do you expect to pull people back to your artist when indie girls are dropping videos that are 10x better. I've seen videos recorded with iPhones that are better than that. Epic will remain the clown of the major labels.

A*Pop is African Pop like Kpop or Jpop.

the way this happens every single time with her Truth or Dare, Jump, Push 2 Start, Chanel, She Did It Again

I haven't revisited the album since release week because there aren't many standouts outside of like 4-5 songs but it's still pretty good, just not as good as her debut

well the album is already out, so it's not. and Tyla's career has reached further heights than Tinashe ever did.

Her label should just lock her in a studio with Ian Kickpatrick ,he seems to bring out the best in her production wise (eg on Kiss and Chanel ) , she can pull an Ariana and have another album out in 6 months and everyone will forget about this one
