Yeah the keys were lowered on those three bonus tracks! Then Back Up and Creole have new arrangements towards the end. If the key change was intentional, then the only logical explanation in my eyes is her re-recording them.

In the next few days if we don't randomly get updated versions of the bonus tracks on digital then we know it was intentional. Which would then leave me to believe they were really re-recorded, bc why just pitch down those bonus tracks for no reason

It's quite literally the bottom of the barrel in terms of audio quality I'm not saying that to be funny, I love Bey and this album in particular. This song is truly just a poor quality master, and it's crazy they didn't fix it for the re-release. An official release from a major label topping out at 160 kbps is insane.

Comparing the waveforms from the OG album and this deluxe re-release, they look mostly the same outside of what i'm assuming to be boosted bass. I don't think there's new vocals. I even played the OG mix and this one back to back at select parts and couldn't hear any new vocals. If there are parts you can confirm to be new, I'd love to hear what you have to share!

Green Light was absolutely remastered. It's lossless now, and when you play it, you can truly hear the difference when compared to the OG mix. Unfortunately, Listen is still as it was on the original release. When you clock the specs, it's still lossy as ****. That's why I think the re-mastering was only the standard album plus a few random tracks. I'm waiting for clarification on what happened to the bonus tracks. I'm on the boat that says they were somewhat re-recorded, but they also do sound pitched down lmao. And if they were pitched down, idk why that'd be the case

i'm really glad they went back and re-mastered the album. Most projects from 2006 wouldn't need re-mastering if you ask me, but something about B'Day.... they really dropped the ball when it came to mixing and mastering that OG album lmao. Like Green Light and Listen being lossy on the album (and Listen on every version) and literal low quality mixes is baffling, you wouldn't expect that from an artist of Bey's caliber. And although it was her second album, you wouldn't imagine that output from a major label like Sony / Columbia B'Day is my favorite Bey album, bc it was the project that made me a stan. I remember and lived through this rollout / era so vividly and fondly. She really kept us fed!

What's updated with this? I just compared the waveforms of the OG Kitty Kat, and the new one. They're practically the same, just that the new one is a bit punchier. I also listened and compared and couldn't hear differences. Same for Ring the Alarm's bridge. Couldn't hear any major discernible differences.

This is interesting, I hope they give us more clarity on what exactly happened to the bonus tracks. Like I kinda could see them just being pitched down as a mixing error, which really doesn't make much sense considering Creole has a completely different arrangement. This remaster has been on streaming since early 2026? She really went in with the stems and seems to have remastered the entire original album. The waveforms are different for just about all the tracks. She also re-recorded the bonus tracks, which is interesting. I don't think they're just pitched down, these are 2026 Beyonce vocals. And for some reason when re-doing Creole, she said **** the whole outro and cut the song over a minute short

Never noticed or realized Listen was lossy on the OG album alongside Green Light, but it's still lossy here..... so that one never got remastered ☠️
