The issue is their longevity in the industry. No one is going to take them seriously as artists post Katseye since no one respects the group. Yeah they're popular with their degenerate memeified music, but at the cost of legitimacy. Not everything is worth it.

And when was a singer from a group taken serious besides Beyonce and maybe other two? rip "Good" music doesn't a good solo artists make. It took decades for Nicole to be somewhat celebrated, and people are still singing Buttons and other PCD bops that were seen as "not serious".

Also, people acting like Wannabe, Spice up your life and many other girl groups songs, that were pop songs with lyrics that had no impact besides being bubblegum pop, didn't stand the test of time and are still remembered. If all their songs were nonsense lyrics you could have a point, but again there are only two (Gnarly & Pinky Up) that have nonsensical lyrics, Gabriela is about to hit one billion streams on Spotify soon with Touch soon to follow.

And they're definitely popular, just not respected musically.

Is it? How is that aespa, from SM, still has plenty of tickets to buy? "A slice of bread from a big kpop company will sell out tours"...?

treacherous

How's the EP doing?!?

As big as they seem to be, oddly enough they still feel somewhat niche. Maybe because I liked them during their come up and these still appear to be my fav indie artists lol

PINKY UP 1,592,767

I didn't know you represented their fans. Good to know! They definitely didn't appear on Iconic By Mistake because at the end of the day they're managed by a Kpop company ig!

So are you idiotically not using their actual markets? deadbanana2 Those groups sell out tours in Asia where they are promoted. Katseye is a group who sings in English that is heavily promoted in the west with the backing of the biggest kpop label who gave them a TV show that started their fanbase. Them selling out a small arena tour in the west is not difficult. Many kpop acts have done it before without proper hits in the west.

Sorry but acting like Katseye got this huge fanbase from hard work is laughable rip Majority is the discourse surrounding this group online is about the label. Acting like that's not a big part of their brand/success is actually dumb.

I'm acting by your own words, are you being idiotically obtuse? As you said "A slice of bread from a big kpop company will sell out tours" how's that going for these two examples? Obviously I'm not dissing on any of them, but you can't even back up your own claims taken from your own head.

What I think is laughable is someone that listen to kpop, as you apparently do, in here complaining about them being "taken seriously" when you know damn well that NOTHING from kpop groups are for serious purpose, specially for their first two or three years. You can play your words as much as you can, how they are a global group and yada yada as if they are not from a kpop company, built on a kpop survival show, that releases music under the kpop EP patters, it doesn't matter the fact that they were created within the kpop pattern. Because Spaghetti is modern day's Ray of Light, or Dirty Work is putting Taylor's All Too Well to shame with such deep and serious lyrics. Again, just say you don't like them and move along.

And I'm not gonna even bother arguing with the "hard work" part because that's just playing dumb at this point. You can claim that Gabriela and other songs might have autoplay, but judging by your own signature here, you wouldn't be that dumb to claim anything about autoplay with Billie Eilish there. The girls are being overwork, which is something that anyone with working ears and eyes could see, but apparently that's not enough in your eyes. Again, just talking **** straight from the ass.

I represent someone that dgaf about kpop & precisely only sees stans from that world when it's to put them down (while acting like their fave artists are the epitome of talent & artistry) laugh we get it, yall dont appreciate them/their company/direction. they'll get a 0 from p4k next, oh no Lara's future in the music industry's in jeopardy!

Can we threadban Gaia because it's obvious that he is deliberately trolling and making up fictitious lies. He is unable to provide evidence for these "facts" that he has made up to discredit Katseye's starpower and achievements. deadbanana
