Kary Perry - E.T | Turns 15

It became the 4th #1 of the Teenage Dream era and has the most weeks in the top 10 of any Teenage Dream singles, spending 20 weeks there and 5 weeks at #1.

It replaced Gaga's "Born This Way" and got dethroned by both Rihanna & Britney's "S&M" and Adele's "Rolling in the Deep"

It was the 4th biggest hit of 2011 and sold 6 million downloads alone

It remains the lowest streamed single of the OG Teenage Dream singles - with just over 800M Spotify streams combining the original and remix

It also reached top 10 in 25+ countries

Dare I say one of the best bridges ever?

This is transcedental...on another level...boy you're my lucky star...wanna walk on your wavelength and be there when you vibrate...for you I risk it all....ALLLLLLLLL

Some people still choosing to stream the Nazi-assisted version when the solo one is right there

2011 memories omg, I used to make Scream 4 edits to this jonny5 It's kinda funny that this is the one TD single that doesn't really have a classic/special occasion element to it though as in TD can be deemed a Valentine's Day/summer bop, California Gurls is a summer classic, Firework is Fourth Of July.mp3 classic, TOTGA is for sad breakup vibes, LFN is a party staple, and this song just like…exists and feels less remembered than any other single from this album.

Not having a female on the remix was a mistake tbh

Also, one of her best songs, and the second best single on TD

It is perfect for Halloween lowkey (and Dark Horse) . She lowkey could've given it a good promo moment when she went to space but

Wait tea it is a good dark bop

One of my inspos for my atrl username jonny5

no but seriously, what an epic song.

The fact that the demo was leaked earlier, yet it still became a mega SMASH despite being a FOURTH single from an already blockbuster era deadbanana2 She was truly on top of the world back then wow. And it also sounded different from anything she was putting out at the time, the arena-rock element mixed with the electropop and a slower tempo... all of it sounded so fresh and unique. The video is also another 10/10 from her clap3It's a shame that it's easily the most forgotten Teenage Dream single nowadays in recurrents, but the amount of success it achieved is impressive on its own.

THE best song off TD, you can't change my mind

It's tragic that the Youtube version that combines the solo bridge and Kanye's verses together isn't on streaming... the superior version

Excellent video.

Magical bridge.

Strong beat.

Powerful vocals.

Love song but dark and captivating.

Smash hit.

That's how it is a pop masterpiece clap3

I'll never forget those bootleg covers circulating in early 2010s

I will never willingly listen to the remix. one of the most worthless remixes of a mainstream pop song ever and I always thought so even before I hated Kanye ace bro that song had arguably the best bridge on the whole f*cking album and they threw it out to score a hit. such a stupid ass choice, I'm sorry.

now the album version though? haunting electropop perfection clap3

Oh this iconic bop, the smashery back in the day was INSANEEE. Remix was absolutely beloved by GP, it was crazy to witness.

W pop classic, one of Katy's best songs with my goat's great verse and making it a #1 hit clap3 love the remix

Well, she wouldn't hold the female album with the most #1's without it so it was worth it overall. Plus fans who dislike the remix cab still choose to listen to the album version.

OT:

This might be my fave single after TD from this era, but I remember fans not liking the video when it premiered

This was THE song that got me into Katy and the TD album in general. I was so close to stanning her back then jonny It's aged well too.
