Actual answer: Taylor's music is more universal than those examples you gave. That's not a dunk on them, but Avril sells to the punk kids and Miley sells to the gays. Taylor's brand is more broadly feminist and nostalgia-leaning. She's also very compelling in terms of her lore & diaristic storytelling, so you end up building a (one-sided) relationship with her by hearing constant updates about her relationship struggles, insecurities, personal disputes, etc. through the music & visuals, and speculating with other fans about how everything might connect
