Rest in peace legend. Ultimate definition of an icon if you ask me. She achieved worldwide stardom and peak success in such a short time, retired quickly and yet she still remembered.

I was about to ask you to explain but I googled her and damn she was anti everything from Islam to Palestine to halal food. And I thought she was a good activist because of her animal rights thing.

She was an icon, indeed, but a problematic one.

Well her anti-semitic and islamophobic comments were always linked to barbaric religious slaughter of animals.

Rest in peace. I know she was problematic but anyone who fights for animal rights will always have my respect. They are the voiceless that are murdered without any consequence.

I don't see this as a reason for her hatred. Islamic slaughter laws, which is known as halal slaughter, involve a specific set of rules meant to ensure the animal's treatment is humane and respectful. For example, the animal must be treated with care, given water before slaughter, and slaughtered quickly by a trained person using a sharp instrument to minimize pain.

Well if you look closely at all her comments that is the main reason for her hatred. Doesn't mean she's right and even if you explain her what your wrote and back it up with scientific facts, she will still hate because of the simple fact of killing an animal will cloud her judgement. She's the type to be extremist and problematic just to protect animals.

She was also anti LGBT. Oh and one of her comments about prostitutes were that "the nice french streetworkers" get replaced by women from the East, Nigeria and by transsexuals ". Her hate towards everything and everybody who was not french, straight and white was a well documented thing. Her views went way beyond animal rights.

She should have just quietly eaten her hummus with carrots and celery.
