I just remembered those replies and captions on Instagram talking about "LG7 being in a vault, guarded by a monster", etc. I wonder if they changed the art direction of MAYHEM during its development, because the final album does not give me the "horror/demonic" feeling I was expecting based on her little hints.

I think for years fans have just overanalyzed her teasing.

The album was always the same. Sure she mentioned she had a moment where she wondered if she should make more songs like Perfect Celebrity but she never actually went through with that outside of Can't Stop the High.

i think the "guarded by 👹" was supposed to be "guarded by beasts" as a The Beast tease, especially since around that time she posted a studio pic with the caption "tick tock tick tock"
