I do think they should work on how to gather younger fans, if their aim is for commercial success. At the same time, it's not like she ever had a catastrophic era. With more support from the US, her numbers would look huge.

I just feel like she spent such a long time exploring other avenues that it made certain demographics indifferent to her (but not necessarily negative, just indifferent) because they couldn't get into the style or sound. People know her legacy and respect her, she's branched out and gained fans from other groups as well, but still.

That being said, I won't whack it too much because jazz means a lot to her as an artist and has done a lot for her career.

Weighing in on the previous page with younger voters seemingly not going for Gaga as much.. (Granted it's like a 0.00001% sample size so who knows)

Most young Americans would guess that Lady Gaga is like.. 45, and that's purely because of how she presented herself career wise from 2016 - forever, not because of her appearance. Jazz, soap opera-style movies, and tribute performances don't really come to mind when people think of trendy pop stars in their 30s.

MAYHEM definitely helped reintroduce her, but the ship has kinda sailed for a big portion of that audience and it'd take a lot more than a Wednesday feature to appeal to an entire demographic she ignored for 5 years. That's why I think it's great she had this era now while some of her Millennial fans are still tuned in, otherwise I think it would've completely bombed here.

Granted, Americans also don't care that our government is actively shooting innocent people for no reason, so Gaga not appealing to us isn't the worst insult.
