Realistically speaking, I think our fanbase is solid enough to keep her at around 200K from now on, unless the impossible happens and we get 2 smash hit singles before release to secure 300K.

I expect it to do better in pure sales but noticeably worse in streaming. We probably won't have a DWAS-level streaming boost next time, so I'd put it at around 150-160k pure sales and 60-65k streams. For comparison, Mayhem did 136k pure sales and 80k streams.

Different BB200 formula for album streams now, it's 1-1 I believe. With that, MAYHEM would've debuted with ~110k streaming units.

I think the biggest opportunity for Gaga is the physicals. Obviously MAYHEM's simplistic album cover was controversial & likely hindered the max potential of physical sales. There should be 4 really well done vinyl variants & at least 20k signed copies ready to go (they'd sellout in minutes). Agree a 2-3 month pre-order window would be ideal.

I didn't remember that change to the formula, so I think it's fair to assume the next album could do at least 80–85k in streaming units. And I agree that physicals are probably the biggest opportunity. Mayhem sold well, but not enough to have a truly surprising opening, partly because its aesthetic wasn't as marketable. If the next album has a strong visual identity, good physical variants, and a couple of months of pre-orders, I could definitely see her surprising on the physicals side

Yeah, MAYHEM album cover is just not as good as the music, unfortunately. I bet that the other promo pic she used on her Spotify profile for months also drove millions of streams away.
