Runway is doing really bad tbqh. Losing during the week is a huge red flag.

I really think a song for FIFA is a really bad idea for multiple reasons. She should focus on quality control, on her brand, and not spreading herself thin saying yes to every proposal that comes along. Especially if it's a The Weeknd collab, it would be a waste as I really doubt they'd be able to make anything interesting or memorable within the confines of what is expected of a song for football games. The focus should really be on pushing further to a new era.

It's not bad for us that only the very high quality stuff actually becomes a hit for Gaga. Being too big to fail can lead to artistic stagnation or regression, as we've seen with some other blonde popstars.

The fact is, the whole world was screaming "Gaga is back!" when Abra dropped. The entire year felt dominated by her presence, from the visual impact of the Abra look to the whole MAYHEM aesthetic. People were recreating the gown dress for carnivals, parades, parties, everywhere.

My point wasn't to belittle DWAS, that's a behemoth of a hit, but huge hits aren't always the ones remembered as the biggest cultural moments, and that's fine.

Abra may not last in the collective consciousness like Bad Romance, but I feel like it'll always be more immediately tied to Gaga.

DWAS is special because Gaga is singing it.

Abra is special because it's something only Gaga could do, and the whole world knows that.

The Shakira song being announced doesn't mean anything other than she has her own separate song like that Jelly Roll MAGA crap. Multiple artists are doing different songs so there could still be a Ga x Weeknd song in the pipeline let's wait and see.
