Well, the movie is more about fashion and less about music, so I don't think they will have any focus on that.

I guarantee that a Runway MV was not going to take away from the budget of another Mayhem video since they are separate projects with separate budgets.

I still think Abracadabra's performance in the US is what caused Interscope to hold off on new singles (outside of TDD which had Netflix tie-in). That and post-album singles are rare anyways.

I'm sure all 40 people that were with Doechii last night will grant us a strong 1st day numbers debut for Runways MV!

I agree with the first part but def. not the second. Abracadabra peaked low but it did well on US. It charted for 20 weeks, her strongest solo dance pop single since Applause. If ROM warranted another MV, Abracadabra did even more. ROM was a #1 but Abracadabra felt like a bigger cultural moment and did more for her brand.

It had more to do with the general difficulty getting post album singles to catch on, how busy she was and how the album was doing with the show's alone. And also the lack of general industry interest in doing music videos nowadays.
