My mom passed away last week. I know I mentioned her wanting to hear a Beyonce rock album as she has anticipated it for years, and I'm so sad she didn't get to hear it before she passed (if that's wha

"In role reversal, Bodyguard's protector is daughter" in the Levi's ad newspaper still makes me gag… Like she's really doing all that.

Maybe it's because I've not been awake long, but this sounds like someone having a stroke. I don't get it

Bodyguard (protective devotion to one's lover)'s protector (maternal protector) is daughter (darker and more violent protector, which traditionally is seen as more masculine and reserved for sons not daughters, Bey kinda just throwing away that gendered stereotyping by saying she inherits it from her father).

I apologize in advance. As a grand fixed Taurus I could never fathom that but you're going to get dragged beyond from the AstroHive.

Why is she rising on AM?

I've been streaming and pushing Apple Music propaganda for weeks oh wow my power

So many viral Beyoncé TikTok's these days... Either my algorithm is including her more or there's an increase of positive output about her. All of 'm being only days old.

The GP is realizing she's mother.

It's Beyoncé. That kind of excuse doesn't work with her and fits better with another artist.

Brazil loves Beyoncé, so any day or date she's going to break any record.

Beyoncé better pick Friesian Horse for the cover of Act III! His long hair screams CECRED

I honestly think the horse will be red.

Black makes sense for rock BUT it wouldn't look great against a black album art backdrop. AND this trilogy is a commentary on American music, so a red horse would be apt against renaissances blue and carters white

The mayor posted today that it will be on the holiday. Either way, no one would want to risk it being a "flop" or making travel even worst than it already is going to be

Maybe they did the usual 'printing random **** on newspapers' during production, because this still doesn't make any damn sense 😂! I'm trying to ride with you, but. . . No 🤣!

Utter randomness, but just want to say:

I love how lowkey and offline Bey is when in-between-ish.

It absolutely heightens the hype for her return.

It was particularly clear how effective it was towards the latter part of last year.

Our girl went on a whole tour through summer and wrapped in July. Yet by Nov/Dec, it "felt" like she had been "gone" for "ages".

In an era of diminishing attention spans and virality that moves at the speed of light, she's mastered the art of not being overexposed, harnessing hype as and when it benefits, and laying low outside of that. Thus extending the heat and relevance of her celebrity, without ever burning it out.

None of this is new per se, but it's still applaudable and a key ingredient to her longevity. Just as much, if not more than her music.

From a foundation setting and optics level, Act III is immediately set up to thrive in that it:

* "Comes over two years after her last album" (a great press line that relays quality and taking time and subtly suggests a "return" even though the woman was on a whole tour last year lol)

  • Feels like ample distance from her last "thing", when in reality it will have been pretty close to CCT.

2/2 in terms of let downs by big players (Bruno + Harry). Mother will have to step in again and show the world what it truly means to DELIVER and change up that game with QUALITY.

Each day that passes, each release that happens, just further emphasizes how Mother operates in a whole different dimension. Time will ALWAYS be good to her, cause none of her peers can do what she does.

Was literally thinking the same! On paper it's giving: the main acts all coming for blood early, only for the music to be…mid,

Bruno, who is near the top of my list of fave current male acts, really phoned it in. It's all very tactical (and worked in terms of placating GP and debuted at #1). But just hope the album has way better material on it.

Harry's isn't bad either, but just sounds like a basic, indulgent means of faux-evolving with a more uptempo dance sound. It's meh, but will get spammed on radio and is already wrapped in this pretentious, cool-kid, critics darling coating (from title to era visuals to album vibe). I actually like him, it's his thing anyway, but doesn't take away from the reality that it's meh.

So, like you said, it definitely sets the stage for Bey to swing in as another titan, but one whose music actually is deserving of the "omg_____insert huge artist____ is back" hype.

That said…

At the same time, our girl is not above a little tactical game of GP pleasing and super on the nose material in the name of the better songs living on the album.

BMS is a personal fave and still a bop, so no slander will be accepted there. But…

Texas Hold 'Em…sigh. I get it and it absolutely did what it was supposed to (GP magnet, hard sold the country pivot, went #1), but nah lol. I cannot see her touching it when the trilogy is over. Nor should she lol.

Edited by Cbreezy

Texas Hold Em came on shuffle while my 18 year old nephew was listening to Spotify and he skipped it and called it "Old lady music"
