Also, anyone claiming she doesn't really like Lemonade because it reminds her of the pain, she just cosplay'd Hold Up for fun at a dinner with her family so I think she's able to separate the art from the struggle? I do wonder how it must feel tho...complicated

Finally, her recreation of the Hold Up single cover with this pic seems to confirm to me that the dress itself is only an homage to Hold Up rather than an homage to to new era's aesthetic, but I do think the burgundy seems to be the Act III colour (maybe the colour scheme will be a combo of Bronze, Burgundy and Red?).

All that being said, maybe her embrace of those Lemonade visuals is a sign she still holds a flame for the art of the music video. But I'm just annoying that in 6 years when Renaissance turns 10 she won't even have any visuals to reference. Like...visuals keep something feeling truly alive in the cultural consciousness. The lack of those right now is such a bummer.

she released Renaissance on friday July 29th and CC on friday March 29th. May 29th is the only friday this year that falls on a 29th.

add to that the MET gala hosting which is a big deal for her and signals something happening soon. even tho i don't think the album's necessarily coming in may she'll definitely officially tease it and/or release something in the next two weeks

Act III buzz is exciting and I am excited by it all.

But I legit think this is her usual "got papped. Their pics range from ok to occasionally unflattering. Lemme get in front of it, control the narrative and the aesthetic with better pics on my IG that most people will see".

I'd be more inclined to move if she just dropped those pics outta the sky on her iG, but it was a papped-first sitch.

At the same time, I'm moving slightly because the look is very unconventional Bey. When has she ever (in recent memory) been seen in something so left of her usual?

So, my hunch is either: coming from a Met fitting and got papped. Or soft launching the look/vibe for Met and thus wasn't too fussed about being snapped. Or, it's all deliberate and geared towards engineering Act III buzz. All feels plausible and on the table.

Oh, but I will say, the random social posting is definitely designed to ramp up her engagement ahead of a drop. It's become semi the norm now.

Ah thank you! I think she is definitely up to something and I was curious since I saw those pap photos today. It is sus that she let herself be seen as well as her wearing that dress + being cochair this year.
