Anyone a fan of trance music? I loved many trance tracks in the mid-late 2000's, but moved on and forgot how euphoric and satisfying of a genre it is.

I discovered TDJ a few years ago, who is doing a lot of work in the new wave of trance music and made me fall in love with it again.

Post your favorite tracks, old or new.

I still need a melody and a hook and all that poppy stuff, but I LOVE trance-infused pop music. Probably my favorite subgenre of electropop.

Lmaooo was just at Dreamstate SoCal in Long Beach this past weekend. Only trance festival in the US, and Tiesto headlined as a "return to trance" set. Boy do I love trance. 

But yes TDJ is amazing and pushing the genre to new territory. SPF Infini 2 remains my favorite of all the mixes, but the latest one is great. Excited for her set next month.

Nice! I was curious about the state of trance in the US. 

SPF Infini 2 has so many bangers and memorable visuals. Also excited for TDJ's tour but she hasn't announced East coast yet. I was thinking to go to Montreal but going alone isn't as fun and it is pricey.

It's obviously not as big as it is in Europe, with all the obsession with dubstep/bass here and shitty tech house/big room. Proper trance acts don't sell very well outside of Cali and NYC, but the big name "techno" artists who basically play trance (looking at you, Charlotte De Witte, Amelie Lens, I Hate Models, etc.) are doing well enough. But there definitely is an appetite for it here and similar to Europe, lots of cross pollination with the techno scene.

 

I think you should absolutely still go. I've gone to several sets alone and had a blast getting to the middle/front easily (and sometimes bagging a twink for the night lol if that's your thing), and just dancing and getting lost in the music. TDJ and Hannah Diamond (hyperpop artist) and I think Zorza for your date will all be on the lineup. Can't miss it. Go! Dance! Have fun!! 

i loveeee trance music. haven't gone to trance music rave in awhile. 

i listen to the Psy-trance playlist on Pandora at the gym.....for years.  it's great.

i wanna go to a rave soooooo bad ;_;

Soooo good and gives me chills!  What are your favorites? Also check out her SPF Infini films. Such a unique world building experience. It made me discover new artists too.

TDJ is going to be my top artist on Apple music this year for sure

I've been playing SPF INFINI 2 and 3 on repeat. Just now venturing into GENESIS. 
 

Apparently she's coming to Chicago next month but I'll be out of town for the holidays  but that's ok this will give me enough time to slowly warm my bf up to her music so he'll join me next time she comes around ddd
