Since the soundtrack (and movie) is less than a month away, what are the predictions for the second and final Wicked soundtrack?

The first soundtrack debuted at #2 on the BB200 with over 139,000 units last November.

There's like zero hype for this compared to the first one so I'm thinking 37k

Should be either around the same or higher than the part 1 soundtrack. I don't see how it will open with less when the audience has expanded and if someone bought/listened to the first soundtrack they are likely to return for the second. The second movie is already tracking to open bigger than the first movie by a decent amount.

Top 5 debut. The hype for this one isn't as big as last year, even the merch isn't doing that well and already ending up in Ross, Marshall's etc.

Delusion

It really is a toss-up. Act I definitely has the bigger/better songs (e.g., NOMTW, The Wizard & I, Popular, Defying Gravity) compared to Act II, but they did record original songs which might draw interest.

Just wait till the movie is released. Of course there is not as much hype cause its a follow up released a year after the first movie. And I'm sure everyone who watched part 1 will return for part 2. Internationally Wicked received a huge growth in awareness too

Inevitable good word of mouth will push the soundtrack to the same numbers as part 1 and I can see the movie even outdoing it.

The movie is projected to open $130-150M in the US and could go higher. First movie opened $112M and was never projected as high as the second at any point. So the hype actually increased...

Part 1 merch is at Marshalls, etc. because they are rolling out new merch for the second movie.

#1 with 150K sales.

Taylor's album is dropping like a rock, it was super frontloaded (92% DROP second week, YIKES) so this might take the #1 spot.

You're very wrong about that.
