I was searching the forum and noticed there was NO Latin music thread

 

I don't know how active this will be. Personally, I enjoy Bad Bunny, Shakira, Kali Uchis, Young Miko and others.

 

Ironically, I cannot understand or speak Spanish () yet Callaita by Bad Bunny is one of my top played songs of all time. His power tbh

one of my main reasons why i wanted to talk about latin music is because I just discovered Villano Antillano and I have no idea if their music is seen as 'good' or what in the Latin world. I will say all they make is bops  I'm liking it regardless if it's "bad" or not. I would say it should be acclaimed tbh

only just starting to listen to more latin music but i'm really enjoying the new karol g album, looking fwd to new rosalia, enjoy kali and shakira too, (i know this is basic but we need a hit thread here)

 

 

Emilia's recent EP was meh but this was one of the best pop albums on 2023 for me. She really committed to the y2k girly pop aesthetic this era and everything from the promo, visualizers, tour outfits/mashups/visuals was on point  En La Intimidad was her big breakout which is very catchy and Underground was released before which is good. I play bunda, Olvidarte, blackout and Carita Triste the most out of the singles she's released or been a part of since then. Her part in Una Foto (Remix) is great too.

The alt girls really bring it too, I loved these two in particular

 

Silvana Estrada shyts all over your insipid soulless flavorless faves and that's that on that.
