You can debate which employed more tactics, and the answer is obvious, but there's nothing "organic" about either. But some of you seem stuck in some psychosis (and no I'm not a swiftie), so it's probably a pointless debate to have :rip:

One thing's for sure, only one is forgotten, aka serving N/A on charts everywhere outside the UK, and that ain't Taylor :sabrina:

Isn't it kinda obvious? Adele was everywhere, and her music was consumed by everyone, by every demographic, in every country... and when we say it, we really mean it. It wasn't a trick, you know? It wasn't only a bunch of teenagers obsessed with charts and numbers to corrupt the reality in favor of their favorite popstar, to prove that she is the best ever.
And I think that what bother people who aren't Taylor's fans is that Taylor really didn't need it, you know? She is already a phenomenum that no one will reach in decades, and no one can denies it. When she forces things like that, she starts to bring a lot of hate and doubt over her career achievments cause it will always feels like she is cheating.
But congrats to her. Conquer this massive and passionate fanbase is her own merit, so let's not blind ourselves over this fact, specially after the Eras Tour. But I hope she and her label can finally stops with this greedy attitude, cause it's already feels like an abuse over her fans, specially with these "limited time offer!" variant albums offering a bunch of nothing.

Idk guys, but it looks like she was fishing for something rather organic here

this is a very uncharitable read of it.

They're also N/A on the UK charts too (where Taylor currently has 7 albums charting) :sabrina:

When the commercial success is undeniable, the vibes and feels crowd turns to 'art not chart' mentality

Comparing her to the biggest first month in history is the only copium left for atrl to diminish her success :toofunny2:

There is noting organic about releasing endless variants, giving them limited release times to push the same few thousand fans to buy up as many copies as possible with their daddy's money. Market manipulation is marketing! You're welcome.

Nobody claimed it was though.

Jokes on anyonr thinking 97% of the people ATRL discuss are organic.

Lolol. I love the insight into these bitter minds. Thank you!

it's just obsessed 100k mostly Teenage Girls/Acting like Teenage Girls buying all variants 30  or some say 3000 times

I mean, we all know the answer just don't say it out loud or they'll come out from under their piles of cds and vinyls to overtake the thread.

How is Adele's not ORGANIC when HELLO is known by everyone and their mother?

even Album Tracks like ALL I ASK is widely known :gaycat7:

And that'd why people are fuming, they can no longer hide behind Adele every time Taylor drops a new album so now they have to keep shifting the goalposts. "But the variants, it's inorganic!!!" as if Adele withheld 25 from streaming for months for the sake of artistry:sabrina:

25 came out in 2015. Streaming was farrr from established and tons of acts weren't releasing on streaming day and date. Reputation came out in fall 2017, 2 years later, and was withheld from streaming for a month or so. This argument is so stupid :deadvision:

Taylor is called everything and compared to everyone these days.

Adele is remembered only to be compared to Taylor.

Taylor won.

Taylor is light years ahead of Adele creatively. She's just stuck in a rut.

Their logic is just :bibliahh:  They act like Taylor would've sold more if her album wasn't on streaming, when it's literally the opposite, swifties bough 50 copies of her album and then went and looped it for a full day :toofunny2:  Do they think swifties were listening to the album on their vynils? Which will be collecting dust til the end of time :rip:

People dismiss taylor bc she releases vinyl variants but like, it's people's choice to buy the vinyl. We all have this thing called autonomy over our choices we make, no one is being controlled. So yes, Tay's sales were inflated because of vinyl variants, but that's still 4 million sales bought by people who wanted to listen and care about her music. People need to stop this narrative around Taylor and trying to completely null and void her success because she releases variants. Cool, we as fans get a choice as to which cover art to choose from, and Tay makes money.

Huh? I was exclusively streaming in 2015. This is also when Apple Music launched.

Though things happen faster when you live on the coasts, I guess?
