    Extremely devastating loss. Growing up, I never quite understood when people would say an album changed their lives because I hadn't experienced it... until I listened to Voodoo. He completely changed the way I heard and viewed music. I'm so grateful that he shared his gift with us & I feel extra lucky that I was able to see him live back in 2012 :heart2:

    I'm so sorry to hear this, especially since I had a family member pass away from the same thing just days ago. May he rest in peace. People talk about age a lot, but 51 is young.

    Black Messiah was one of my favorite albums during my high school years... so devastating 

    he's so young to pass away.... RIP R&B legend.

    I loved him so much and his music may his soul rest in peace. 

    growing up, my mom and aunt were always playing his music and i have vivid memories of my mom having the voodoo cd and always playing it in her car. as i got older, i dove into his music further and it's all so amazing. may he rest in peace. :heart:
