Today I was listening to this masterpiece The Sweet Escape by Gwen Stefani and learned that it has 860 million streams on Spotify
I remember it was big in Europe and Latin America but I wasn't expecting it to have these many streams since it was released in 2006

are there any other songs that have way more streams than you thought (or way less)?

well Beyoncé was one of the first streaming forces on Spotify so I wouldn't say Say My Name is that impressive

Applause, it's even getting more daily streams than Million Reasons, Rain On Me & Stupid Love.

 

Hold My Hand is also impressive, considering it only peaked at #49 on the Hot 100, yet has 380M streams on Spotify and 300M views on YouTube. That's HUGE for a soundtrack!

Any song prior to 2010 that has reached at least 1B views is impressive to me because 90 percent of those released this decade could not even reach such numbers.

I'm not a RH stan, but seeing them reach the billion mark with an okc track is a pleasant surprise. 

 

Goes for a lot of Rock music, a genre that hasn't had a commercial stronghold since before streaming became the dominant form of music consumption, does INCREDIBLY well. Metallica songs with 1B streams

 

Benson Boone's In the Stars, he's clearly not a 1 hit wonder.

 

PARTYNEXTDOOR'S Break From Toronto was a MOMENT for R&B listeners, didn't think it'd ever hit 1B.

What? I wish is above 100M streams? 
honestly given how bad it flopped you would think it is at 45M or worse

None of My Business is the national anthem of the game Gacha Life, that's why. Everyone and their mothers made fan covers of it in the game.

I knew it was a big hit back then when it came out, but the fact that its at 2.6B+ streams and is still charting in the top 50 global charts to this day is insanity

 

id also add fleetwood mac songs but thats just cause the GP can exhibit taste sometimes

Don't remember it being THAT viral but it deserves all of these streams. 

Black Eyed Peas "Pump It" has 930M streams, "Meet Me Halfway" has close to 900M as well

 

12 week #1 "Boom Boom Pow" is over 400M
