KATSEYE has way more hype, popularity, acclaim and success than NewJeans ever had. 
 

NewJeans' career trajectory seemed all is well up until last year with their label drama.

 

KATSEYE has emerged on the scene and their first few singles have charted in the US similarly to NewJeans, except faster.

 

Do you think KATSEYE will last longer than NewJeans? Have they already surpassed them?

I think it's still too early to compare considering that NewJeans had hits like Super Shy, OMG and Ditto (they debuted in 2022).

 

Something I can say is that I see more hype for KATSEYE globally and outside of the K-Pop community unlike with other K-Pop groups like NewJeans.

Gnarly is a slow burner, sleeper hit right now, and it'll end up being on the Hot 100 Year End chart/other charts

They're on their way - it's clear that something is working based on Touch, Gnarly, and Gabriela's performance

Well no! Their songs are terrible but they have the vocals and dance ability so if they ever get better music maybe. As for success it's too soon rn 

no. they're a novelty act as this point. we'll see if they can actually stick around.

Lbr even the worst song from NJS is still better than best one from KATSEYE.  Gnarly is a bop though

I had literally never heard of Katseye until I saw them live at jingle ball last year and now I'm seeing them everywhere 

Newjeans is over forever It's time to move on from cultural tragedy

No, but they are at least doing something different unlike the many groups out there who are doing walmart version concepts of New Jeans' music still.
